🌿 Olive Picking Season Has Begun! 🌿
We’re excited to share that this year’s olives are officially being picked—by our family, with care and tradition—and our fresh, completely organic olive oil is now in production! 🫒✨

You can purchase our new season’s olive oil directly at the farm, bottled with love and ready for your table.

🥄 Enjoy free olive-oil tasting at the farm every year! Come explore the rich, authentic flavors of our freshly pressed oil and enjoy the full farm experience.

Thank you for supporting local, sustainable, family-run farming. We can’t wait to share this year’s harvest with you! 🌾💛

“It’s hutch-cleaning day! 🧼🐇 A bit of hard work, a lot of hay, and some very curious rabbits supervising the whole process. Cleaned once or twice a week to keep everything fresh and fluffy! ”

🥚 Hatching and Early Life
• Born from eggs: Female tortoises lay their eggs in small holes dug in the ground. After about 60–120 days (depending on the species and temperature), the eggs hatch.
• Temperature decides gender: The incubation temperature determines whether the babies will be male or female — warmer temperatures usually produce females, cooler ones produce males.
• Independent from birth: Baby tortoises are completely independent once they hatch — they get no parental care!

🌿🐢 Where Do the Baby Tortoises Go in Winter? 🐢🌿

We’ve had a few messages asking what happens to our baby tortoises when the weather turns chilly. The answer is—they stay nice and cozy with us! 💚

During the colder months, our little shell friends move into the farmhouse, where we can carefully keep an eye on them. They have warm, comfy spaces, and we make sure they’re happy, healthy, and safe until spring sunshine returns. ☀️

✨ Fun fact: Baby tortoises are born with a tiny egg tooth on their nose, which they use to break through their eggshell when hatching! How amazing is that? 🐣

Life slows down a little on the farm in winter, but caring for our tiniest residents keeps things full of life and love. 🏡🐢

🌾 That’s a Wrap for the Season 🌾

The Little Farm is now officially closed for the year.

We want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who visited us — from our wonderful regulars to the many new faces we welcomed this year. Your smiles, laughter, and support have made this season truly special.

This year brought many highs and a few lows. One of the hardest moments was losing Hilary, our much-loved goose. She’ll always be part of the farm, and her spa will proudly remain Hilary’s Spa in her memory. 🤍

A huge thank you also goes out to our amazing team, who worked tirelessly to keep the farm running smoothly and full of charm week after week. Working through the heat wasn’t easy, but we managed together — and we couldn’t appreciate them more for their hard work and dedication. 🌞💪

We’re already looking ahead to next season, when we’ll be introducing our brand-new food trailer — we can’t wait to share it with you! 🚜✨

Keep following us here for updates and a few sneak peeks along the way.

Until then, take care and stay cozy!

🌧️ Weather Update 🌧️
Unfortunately, due to the wet weather on and off today, we’ve made the decision to close. As it’s not an easy process to open and close with the changing weather, we’ve decided it’s best to remain closed for the day.

We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.
☀️ Weather permitting, we’ll be open again tomorrow from 10am to 5pm.
