Little Holly, the English Springer Spaniel, shes come for a 5 week 121 puppy course.
She's not just learning the basics, but she's also learning how to act and be calm in social situations. She is absolutely beautiful 😍 and smart.

Duke is having several 121s for his reactivity and not listening to his owner.

We upped the game this week and did the training in the park. He did absolutely fantastic. We did have a little glitch at the end, but that was Purley down to another owner letting her dog off lead, had no recall or any control with her dog. But Duke took it in his stride. Yes, he barked and lunged, but he soon calmed back down and focused on what was being asked.

He managed to walk past a group of people who had a dog with no issues when we walked back to his home.

NEWS: Two children mauled by family pets in 24 hours

Within 24 hours, we received 15 reports of dogs dangerously out of control, with two children being mauled by family pets and left requiring hospital treatment.

On Monday (4 August) we received 15 calls into our control room, requesting officer assistance at emergency dog bites, or making us aware of dogs dangerously out of control or posing a risk in our community.

At 8pm, we received reports that a child had suffered serious injuries caused by a family dog.

It is understood that while in the kitchen of their home, their dog, a registered XL Bully attacked a seven-year-old boy, causing injuries to his neck, which required surgery.

A short time later, at 11.36pm, we received a call that another child, a nine-year-old boy had been mauled by their family dog, a Shih Tzu at a house in Doncaster. The child suffered injuries to his ear.

Both dogs were been seized by officers.

You are more likely to be bitten and injured by a dog within your home, known to you, than anywhere else.

We understand the joy that pets bring to a home, and a child’s life, but as the school holidays are underway and children are spending more time at home and visiting friends, family and local parks, we are continuing to urge parents and owners to act.

Any dog of any breed can bite and cause harm or fear. It is important that you understand your dog, it’s behaviour and ensure it has a safe space where it can be alone.

More information about how to keep your child safe can be read on our website- https://orlo.uk/3ZEdA

Please don’t think it won’t happen to you, or your child, or that your dog wouldn’t attack.

Simple changes can be the difference between life and death.

‼️ Desperate plea for help ‼️

Good morning to all our supporters we really do need a kind experienced person to step up and help us urgently with one of our dogs 🫣🫣

The situation is this

We helped with four dogs who had recently lost their owner their home and everything they had ever known

We agreed to take three of the dogs another rescue agreed to take the fourth but wasn't able to take the dog (Roxy) immediately

We didn't want to leave a dog already traumatized by recent events alone in the dead owner home so our foster agreed to hold Roxy very temporarily

Roxy has been no trouble at our fosters who has other dogs and children including a baby

Roxy wasn't keen on the other dogs in kennels either side so she has been sleeping in a crate in the house

Roxy has been perfect out on walks if she reacts slightly to anything a correction on her check chain and given the command" leave it ' Roxy totally ignores the distraction

I witnessed that first hand at my paddock on Saturday when I also received lots of cuddles and kisses from Roxy

We moved Roxy yesterday this has been a complete disaster poor Roxy seems to have completely lost her head and is trying to attack everything anywhere near her including livestock poultry other dogs etc

So Roxy will be coming back to us today when we will officially become the rescue taking responsibility for her🫣

Roxy has been gentle and loving with all humans coming into contact with her

We desperately need a foster home for Roxy ( foster to adopt would be even better) who can dedicate the time Roxy needs to help her overcome her recent experiences .... basically her whole life as she knew it has gone

I've met Roxy and I can honestly say she is a lovely dog she's stunningly beautiful and excellent example of the breed both temperament and looks wise

Roxy is gentle affectionate and loving ( bit clingy at the moment) obedient well mannered and well trained

Our hearts are absolutely broken for this poor girl who just doesn't understand her recent losses

Please if you might be able to help us help Roxy pm me Julie Nevett urgently

Little Bronsons training walk to Langold Park. He loved the attention, loved all the smells, and everything that was going on around him. Super confident pup who is going to be awesome when he's older.
He even met my old girls Lexie and Pippa.
Pip was muzzled as she can, on occasions, get grumpy, but she was perfect with him, and Bronson absolutely behaved and didn't overstep the mark and read her perfectly. He certainly loves his owner ❤️
