Sharing as a reminder - lots of people have been dropping off/picking up outside of the times mentioned without letting us know.

The timings given allow us time to clean/sanitise cages ready for new guests to arrive - particularly during busy periods where animals are going home on the same day as other animals coming in. Especially as we also doing this between running the shop and sorting deliveries, etc.

Rabbits & Guinea Pigs MUST be brought in in a secure cat carrier

This applies unless arranged otherwise with a member of staff

Drop off:

Monday and Friday - between 4pm and 4:45pm
Wednesday and Saturday - between 3pm-3:45pm

Pick Up:

Between 9am - 10am.

This is to prevent your pets being stuck in their carriers for a long period of time.

If you are late you may be charged for an extra day.

If you are running late, need to change the day, or need to cancel please contact us via phone or messenger.

Hamsters/gerbils/caged birds, etc are not affected by this as they are usually in their own cage.

PASTURES NEW

One month today we will be on our way.

Knowing a year ago our tenancy was coming to an end, we made a conscious decision not to take any horses in and rehome as much as we could as we didn't know what was available out there.

We are moving with 60% of what animals we had last year, Jess has been super busy sorting the rehomeing on top of running the yard. And as a team we have all worked our socks off.

Our amazing new landlord is making 3 trips with some of our Carneddau ponies this week, as unfortunately both the truck and horse box are currently off the road.

We have had major expenses lately and have some big expenses yet to come.

The muck heap needs to be removed £2500

Fuel for the lorry, approximately 30 trips each way estimate £1200

A few big skips £1400

From day one 19yrs ago the animals have been our priority and closing the charity wasn't an option, I personally felt like we would be letting them all down after giving them love, care and sanctuary.

You have always got behind us and never let us down. We need you more than ever to achieve our next goal. We are excited for the new start, new volunteers, new ideas, new beginnings and to share them with you.

A reminder of slightly different opening days/hours at the start of next week.

We will be CLOSED on Monday 25th May, but will be open 10am - 4pm on Tuesday 26th May instead.

Hopefully today’s delivery will keep us going until the next one in 2 weeks 😂
