Today would have been Hugo's 13th birthday, but in true Hugo style, he flounced off to Rainbow Bridge 2 days ago, leaving us heart broken 💔 Hugo, Bubba, is one of the greatest loves of my life. Never have I known another dog like him and nor will I ever again. He was an absolute one of a kind. He made me laugh every single day, intentionally or not. He was a sweet, loving boy, but everything had to be on his terms and I know he would have given me that look and skulked off if he could see the tears I've shed for him since Tuesday. Hugo was the epitome of self love, giving generously to everyone around him as long as it didn't cost him anything 🤣 He loved his dads, the beach, looking for a new/better home, telling lies, but most of all he loved his role as DogFather at DDC. The Chief Entertainment Officer, adored his friends and there isn't a dog we know who didn't use his big fat bottom as a pillow... that's why we called him Bubbalicious! He always had to have a nemisis to keep us all on our toes but deep down, he was the Walrus of Love and he loved every one of his friends. He played with great enthusiasm, ate with great enthusiasm, and snored like a trouper often growling and wagging his tail while he slept. We have many funny pictures and stories to share with you. He was very poorly when he was young and we never thought he'd see double figures so to almost make it to 13 showed his tenacious spirit and joy of life. He decided he wanted to share his 13 birthday with his beloved Harry at Rainbow Bridge and, as usual, didn't ask permission to leave. Bubs, you lived your best life and we were so blessed you chose to live it with us. I hope you're still clowning around and spreading joy. We will love you always, Mummy and Daddies.###❤️❤️❤️🌈
