We pride ourselves on being a small friendly, local, in

dependant practice with many long standing staff, several have been here since the very beginning. We feel it is very important you can see the same people and build a real relationship with them.

Look at lovely Albus being such a good boy showing us his tricks 🥰 Albus is a Great Dane and still very much a baby, but growing very quickly as Great Danes like to do! 😂💪🏻🐶❤️

This is lovely Bear, he came into us this week for entropian eye surgery. This is where the eyelids (can be upper, lower or both) folds in and irritates the eye.

During the surgery some of the skin on the affected lid is removed, pulling the eyelid back down into a more comfortable position. We typically see this condition in bulldog/pug type breeds and it is quite simple to fix 🧑🏼‍⚕️

We hope Bear is feeling much better now, he was such a good boy and a pleasure to look after 🐶🐶👀👀❤️❤️

🚨 Tapeworm and roundworm 🚨
Below are some videos of the parasites commonly known as tapeworm and roundworm. Not only being horrible to look at these can cause serious health complications for your pets. From nutritional deficiency to intestinal blockages requiring surgery! Also don’t forget these parasites are zoonotic meaning you are at risk of getting them from your pet !

Regular worming and cleaning up after your pet 💩 especially in public places will help reduce the spread of these nasty creatures !

This is lovely little Joey 😍 he came into us for a post op check and whilst here he was notably relaxed, we think the pet remedy diffusers might have something to do with it 🤔🤗
If you are struggling at home with a stressed out pet, please do enquire about using one of these pheromone diffusers/sprays…they can make all the difference ❤️

What a happy Valentine’s Day it has been for us at Brookend! Simba has been missing for six and a half weeks and had managed to travel just under 3 miles from his home, but today we managed to reunite him to his owners. This wouldn’t have been possible without the lovely lady that bought him to us and the fact that he was microchipped and his details kept up to date! What a LOVELY ending to love day. 🥰😍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😻😻😻😻😻😻

Don’t forget that we offer cat only vet and nurse clinics every Tuesday from 11.30am to 1pm. No dogs are allowed in the practice at this time (apart from emergencies).
