🎉 Meet Karen – 21 Years at Brookend Vets! 🐾

This amazing lady is Karen, and she’s been a vital part of the Brookend Vets family for an incredible 21 years!

She began her journey with us as an office administrator and moved on to become our practice manager, but her heart always belonged to our clients and their pets. That’s why she joined our reception team – and she’s now our brilliant Head Receptionist.

Karen is the warm smile that greets you at the desk and the friendly voice on the phone, always ready to help with compassion and care.

Outside of work, Karen wears one more important hat: Nanny to her beautiful 5-month-old granddaughter Maddie and Stan the dog 😂🐶 – both of whom keep her on her toes and her heart full. 💕

Thank you, Karen, for your loyalty, kindness, and the dedication you’ve shown over the years. You’re truly one of a kind!

🌟 Meet Sharon! 🌟
One of the friendly faces at our front desk, Sharon has been a part of the Brookend Vets family for 3.5 years and is a much-loved member of our reception team.

At home, Sharon is a proud rescue pet mum to Boycie, her tabby cat of 7 years, and Zora, her beautiful rescue dog who’s been by her side for over 3 years. 🐾❤️

Just recently, Sharon added another special role to her life — she’s become a nanny! 👶💕 Congratulations on your beautiful new granddaughter!

Around here, she’s lovingly known as the feeder of the reception team — always ready with a treat (or two!) for our patients. 🐶🐱

Thank you for all you do, Sharon – Brookend wouldn’t be the same without you! 💚

🐾 Continuing on from Veterinary Nurse Awareness Month🐾

We’d like to give a big shout out to another essential part of our team – our fantastic reception team – starting with Jill and Michelle!

✨ Jill has been part of the Brookend Vets family for 8 years now. She shares her home (and heart!) with two gorgeous Labradors, Daisy and Ebony.

✨ Michelle joined us almost 3 years ago. She’s a proud dog mum to two magnificent Great Danes, Norman and Haesten.

Every Friday, Jill and Michelle meet up to take their furry friends out for walkies – now that’s team spirit, on and off the clock! 🐶💙

Thank you both for all the support, care, and warmth you bring to the practice every single day. We’re so lucky to have you! 💐

Bladder stones are hard mineral deposits that form in the bladder, causing discomfort, pain, and even blockages. Common signs include:
✅ Frequent urination
✅ Blood in urine
✅ Straining or whining when peeing
✅ Accidents in the house

If your pup is showing these signs, a vet visit is a must. Early diagnosis can prevent serious complications and keep tails wagging! 🐕

🩺 Say hello to Demi! 🐾

Demi is one of our brilliant Veterinary Nurses here at Brookend Vets and has been with us for almost 2 years. She brings so much skill, care, and passion to everything she does — especially when it comes to surgery and theatre work, which she absolutely loves! 💉💚

Outside of work, Demi is cocker spaniel mad — and we totally get it! Her beautiful spaniel, Treacle, is her pride and joy 🐶💛

When she's not busy caring for our patients, you'll often find her spending time with Chester, her beloved horse 🐴 — between Treacle and Chester, she definitely has her hands (and heart) full!

🐾 Meet Morgen! 🐾

Morgen is one of our amazing Student Veterinary Nurses here at Brookend Vets, where she’s been part of the team for almost 3 years! 💚

She’s on track to qualify as a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) next year, and we couldn’t be more proud of her journey so far.

Morgen has a soft spot for rabbits 🐰 and enjoys getting stuck into a bit of radiography — she’s got a real eye for it!

When she's not caring for our patients, she’s at home with her two adorable dogs, Kasper and Suki 🐶, Cookie the rabbit, and Lilo the hamster 🐹.

We’re so lucky to have Morgen on the team — her passion for animals shines through in everything she does! 💕

Coral has been a dedicated veterinary nurse here at Brookend Vets for the past 4 years. With a big heart and a keen eye for animal behaviour, she’s especially passionate about canine training and rabbit welfare & care. 🐶🐰

When she’s not caring for your pets at the practice, Coral is out living her passions — from dog agility and trick training to the unique sport of horseback archery! 🏹🐕

At home, she’s kept on her toes by her energetic Jack Russell, Ben, and her trusty horse Buster — her two partners in adventure.

A true cat lover, Becca shares her home with three fabulous felines: Bos, Effie, and Quill 🐱🐱🐱… plus one cheeky Shih Tzu named Poppy, who definitely keeps her on her toes! 🐶

Her passion doesn't stop there — she’s fascinated by microscopy, always eager to explore the tiny details that help us understand our patients better. 🔬

We’re celebrating Nicola today, she has been a much-loved part of the Brookend team for almost 10 years! 💚

Nicola is known for her dedication, her calm expertise in the operating theatre, and the warm, supportive care she provides during her nurse clinics. She brings a personal touch to everything she does—and it’s clear she genuinely cares for every patient who walks (or is carried!) through our doors.

Her true soft spot? Cats! 🐱 Nicola is a proud cat mum to three beloved boys: Bertie, Arthur, and Ernie—each with their own personality, and all thoroughly spoiled (as they should be!).
