Posher Paws Dog Grooming Salon

We are currently looking for an experienced Bath and Dryer to join us here at Posher Paws , based in wisbech

Our ideal candidate will be level 2 qualified, with at least a years experience working within a grooming parlour. You will be confident working as part of a small, friendly team.
You will be able to complete all prep work to the very best standard.
All equipment will be provided.

⭐️ February is Dental Health Month ⭐️

In February and March we have a teeth cleaning offer on…. Our Emmi Pet ultrasonic teeth cleaning system

Single session £35

3 sessions normally £90 down to £75 to use over 6 month

6 sessions normally £219 down to £175 to use over 12 months and we can build a plain around your groom as well which will include extra discount.

We also included this as an add on as part of your pooches pamper fur £20 extra on top of there pampers …🐾

This also includes your own tooth brush head which normally costs £10 or £15 for the large free of charge.

We recommend teeth cleaning every 4-8 weeks in line with your pooches groom to prevent plaque build up and keep dogs teeth and mouth clean. To get the best results this is an ongoing service.

If plaque is returning quickly we recommend a once a month clean

🐾🐾 Miniature Schnauzer 🐾🐾

Did you know that you can keep them looking
their best by following a few key steps?
The Miniature schnauzer Is an elegant and unique breed, known for its distinctive coat and impeccable
appearance.

WEEKLY BRUSHING In short areas it is best
to use a bristle brush. A conditioner makes brushing easier, prevents
tugging and adds shine
and moisture. De-shedders are perfect for removing undercoat and
renewing the coat efficiently.

REGULAR BATHING Monthly bathing with products that nourish and moisturise the
skin and coat is recommended. It is important to condition the long coat at the end of the bath to prevent ageing, tangles and breakage.

PROFESSIONAL HYGIENE Maintaining ear hygiene is crucial to avoid
irritation and itching.
Nose and pads should be treated and protected to avoid drying out, cuts
and irritations.

At Posher Paws we are so excited to be offering a full grooming service for your kitty cats…

Being a cat owner can be one of the most rewarding things in life and we want to help you make sure your cat is looking and feeling their very best!

Cats are very independent creatures and are very capable of cleaning and grooming themselves. However, they still need a little help to remove loose hair, dead skin and debris from their undercoat to avoid any knots forming, especially in semi and long-haired cats.

If left un-brushed, the hair will clump together and create severe matting and even pelting of the coat. This can be extremely painful and uncomfortable for the cat, restricting their movement and causing skin irritations and sores.

Regular grooming not only keeps the coat matt free, it also helps with your cat's circulation, keeps the coat shiny and healthy and even helps prevent excess hair being shed around your home. It can also help reduce fur balls from occurring. This applies to all cats, whether they are short-haired, semi or long-haired.

🐾🐾Cold weather paws 🐾🐾

Cold weather can be tough on our pets, especially their paws and pads. ❄️🐾

Snow and ice can dry out their pads, causing cracks and soreness. Plus, hair in their pads can collect debris and snowballs mixed with grit, which can freeze and make walks really uncomfortable.

Yes that’s wright….. we do Cat Grooming at Posher Paws with our amazing Natasha and her fabulous cat grooming skills… using only the best cat shampoo and products..
We have had a great day grooming our feline friends today who were all Maine C***s and Persian cats, which is one of the oldest natural breeds of cats.

❄️ ❄️ snow is on its way ❄️❄️

With the snow and ice expected, the roads may well be gritted. If you walk your Dog on gritted roads/paths please make sure that their paws are washed either by walking them through a few puddles away from the gritted surfaces or by dipping their feet in fresh water once at home.

‼️ Every year hundreds of pets throughout the country become seriously ill and in some cases die because of the rock salt and antifreeze being used during the cold snap. Dogs and Cats walk through the substances left by gritters trying to clear roads and car drivers defrosting their windscreens and then licking them off their paws.

‼️ Consuming rock salt can cause dehydration, liver failure and pancreatitis, while antifreeze contains the chemical ethylene glycol, which can be lethal when ingested.
