Off lead heelwork
my 3 demonstrating off lead heel in training around distractions and in real life environments!
do i mind that deedee switches side?
absolutely not as she probably felt she needed more room, i don’t mind as long as they switch behind me not go in front!
why did i verbally correct?
i could tell dexter and dotty had sped up and gotten slightly too far ahead, and so a reminder was needed!
i make my dogs off lead heel for a few minutes after taking off leads to prevent the thought of leads coming off meaning ‘free time!’
in any obedience session with me you will hear me constantly remind you of making sure you give a release command when YOU’RE ready not just when the dog wants to leave
