Roxy’s first ever groom. A little unsure of the dreaded drier, Keera decided to get in the bath tub with her and give cuddles for support. Such a sweetheart 💜🐾

We received this lovely message from a new client of ours tonight🥰

Earlier this week, we had the pleasure of meeting Georgie and Buddy—two adorable Schnauzer mixes. Their owner was understandably nervous about trying a new groomer after moving to the area, especially since both pups had shown anxiety around grooming in the past and were known to bolt for the door as soon as their appointments were over.

Buddy walked into the salon quite confidently, while Georgie was a bit more hesitant. After mum left, Buddy was quick to come in for cuddles, while Georgie sat quietly in the corner. I gave him a few minutes to settle, then scooped him up for a cuddle—which he ended up really enjoying.

Throughout the grooming process, the boys stayed together—from bath time to being on the grooming table. When we finished, we let them down to roam the salon floor. Buddy was immediately playful, giving cuddles and kisses all around. Georgie, perhaps a little jealous, soon came over for a cuddle too!

When their owner arrived to pick them up, both tails were definitely wagging. She was amazed to see how calm and relaxed they were—no signs of shaking or anxiety. For the first time, she and the boys felt comfortable enough to stay and have a chat with us, and the boys even enjoyed a few treats before heading home.

It’s safe to say they were both an absolute dream to groom!🐾💜

Polite reminder to all clients regarding our matting removal policy -

In line with the Animal Welfare act, we will not put any dog through unnecessary pain to remove matting to meet aesthetic requirements.

Severe matting removal will be discussed with a client prior to proceeding with the groom.
Minor matting will be removed leaving as much length as possible.
We always endeavour to carry out pain free methods before choosing to take the length short.

Matting that is close to skin or on the tail will be removed via clipping underneath the mats to avoid injury to the skin or delicate bone structure in the tail.

All matting removal undertaken is documented with videos, photos & matting removal forms.

We love a German Shepherd - the lovely Xena. Such a good girl, especially for her first visit. The fur storm was real folks! Can’t wait to see you next time baby girl 💜🐾

❌ Early arrival ❌

You will have noticed that our courtesy reminders are asking everyone to please only arrive at your time slot and not early.

There are a number of reasons for this:
🐾 Reactive dog awaiting collection
🐾 We haven’t finished the last groom and walking in with your dog has disrupted the dog on the table we are trying to finish
🐾 We aren’t ready for you
🐾 We need a toilet break
🐾 We need to grab some food in between grooms
🐾 We need a little break before starting your dogs groom

We’re seeing a big increase in clients arriving 10, 15, 20 minutes early for their appointments.
As you are aware we do not have a waiting area.
Please be mindful you have been given an appointment time slot for a reason. It isn’t like a hairdressers - anyone walking in early can become an issue especially if we have a reactive dog awaiting collection or a nervous dog that’s not quite ready, or we just need a moment. Grooming is a tough job, please allow us to do our best for you and your pooch by only arriving at your allocated time slot.
