Never ‘just a dog’
I think it’s safe to say we have evolved a great deal from the old school thinking that a dog is ‘just a dog’
A bond between humans & canines is extremely special & sacred. There isn’t anything most wouldn’t do for their furry companion.
We appreciate dogs all the more and because of this, we are far more perceptive to their needs and welfare than in days gone by. We want more for them, a longer life, better food, more enrichment, more love. To feel like they are part of the family..
Dogs don’t mistreat you
Dogs are always happy to see you
Dogs are always willing to please you - always. And most will do whatever it is you ask of them. They trust you implicitly.
They don’t talk over you
Don’t back chqt
Don’t say hurtful words or perfom hurtful actions
They are loyal to the core
Forever & always
This is why they are labelled ‘man’s best friend’
Man’s best friend deserves your compassion. Your care. Your common sense
Just because they ‘love the sun’ ‘love to sunbathe next to me’ “love chasing that ball’ ‘love the outdoors’ - doesn’t mean they should be walked in high temperatures. Doesn’t mean they should be left to sunbathe outside unsupervised. Doesn’t mean that because they can’t complain, they aren’t suffering!
For the love of dogs - please please PLEASE.. do not walk your dogs or leave them to sunbathe in this heat.
Love your dog, care for your dog. Don’t be oblivious to the dangers of hot weather
Ask yourself- would you sit inside with a fur coat on in front of a fan? Would you walk outside or run in this weather with a fur coat on and no shoes on?
Be safe. Keep your dogs safe. Be vigilant & please - look out for your furry angels 💜🐾
