🎉 Exciting News! 🎉

We’re proud to announce that our Hospital is now officially recognised as a Dog Friendly Clinic! 🐶💙

Our amazing team has worked hard to meet all the criteria—making thoughtful changes to improve the experience for our canine patients. From bringing back puppy socialisation sessions, adding raised bowls, introducing food enrichment activities to in-patients, and having healthy treats on reception, consulting rooms and in prep areas, every detail has been considered.

Moving forward you can now book Muzzle Densistization and Habituation Appointments with our Nurses. For more Information or to Book, call our Reception team.

🌟 Rescue Spotlight: Loki’s Journey 🌟

Meet Loki, a big-hearted lurcher with an even bigger story.

Early last year, Loki was found tied up and abandoned in Whitley Bay. He was brought into Ayres Veterinary Hospital, and despite our best efforts, we weren’t able to reunite him with anyone. He was without a place to call home – but his story was far from over.

One of our vets, Stavroula, welcomed Loki into her life - and he’s been thriving ever since! He’s been lucky enough to enjoy holidays in Scotland and even take a trip to Greece, soaking up the love and sunshine along the way. Now he’s a cherished member of the Ayres team, known for his goofy charm, gentle nature, and love of making new friends 🐾💙

If you have a rescue pet, we’d really love to hear their story. Whether they’ve been part of your life for years or just recently joined the family, every rescue journey is special. Jackson recently underwent a CT scan at our North Shields hospital and was an absolute superstar! 🌟
As you may know our hospital is equipped with its own CT unit, utilising Computed Tomography to produce detailed images of your pets using x-rays and computer technology. 🐾
