Hello everyone, we had a great day at St Nicks yesterday and raised a whopping £360 for the local branch, so many thanks to everyone who came and supported us.
Secondly, one of our customers has accidentally gone away from our shops with our A5 sized blue sales book, if you would be kind enough to return it, it would be very much appreciated.

Our volunteers are at St Nicks on Lowther Street, Whitehaven from 10-3. They have a Tombola, Raffle and a wide selection of cakes available today, as well as being able to find out more about what the local branch is doing. Of course we're always looking for more volunteers so what better time to pop in and find out over a cuppa and a cake! A big thank you to the Coffee Kitchen Bakery in Cockermouth, Dixons Department Store and Jean's Flower Boutique in Whitehaven for the donations to help us do today.

We are taking over St Nicholas Centre on Lowther Street on Saturday 9th May. We'll be there 10am to 3pm, serving cuppas, sandwiches, scones and cakes. Of course we'll be having a raffle and tombola.
Come along and meet the gang, find out about our work, ask us questions, find out we're just normal folk helping animals in need. We are currently in need of more volunteers to join us for a variety of roles so this would be the purrfect time to find out more.

Sweet male ferret found on Herdus Road in Mirehouse - possibly displaced by the storm last night. Currently chilling and being called Dave by his carers 🙈 please get in touch if you think he might be yours, photo proof will be required before he's handed over 🐾

You may have seen that we recently pledged £500 to owners struggling to afford to have their female cats spayed in an attempt to reduce unwanted cats and kittens this Spring.
The plan was to offer £25 off 20 FEMALE neuters....

WELL.....

Our friends at RSPCA Cumbria West have offered to MATCH our pledge!
This means that together we can offer you £50 off your female cat neuters!
Thank you so much to the volunteers at our local RSPCA branch, hopefully we can reduce the number of unwanted cats and kittens before the 'kitten season' population explosion ❤️

We current have 4 females to organise their neuters, leaving 16 x £50 still available.
Please let us know if you're struggling to afford to spay your girl!

🐾ANY cumbria postcode can apply.
🐾Females only (sorry boys!) to prevent unwanted pregnancies
🐾Rest of the bill MUST be paid to your Vet prior to them receiving our donation, proof of spay and payment required
🐾Questions of income will be asked so we can help those less able to pay for this procedure in full
🐾The £50 will be sent directly to your Vet.
🐾We are not putting a timelimit on this project, 20 cats is 20 cats. This could be open for 1 week or 1 month, but you must book your girls operation within a month of contacting us.
🐾You must have your cat chipped, either prior or during the spay appointment. This is not covered by our donation.

We know 20 cats isn't alot- but hopefully this can be the first of many similar projects we can do to prevent unwanted litters, mothers suffering traumatic births when they're just babies themselves and feline population control overall 🤞
(This would leave us open to bringing in strays too so saving more than 1 life🙏)
