Like everyone, we've been hit hard by the ongoing Coronavirus crisis. We had to close our charity shop, cancel vital fundraising events and limit animal adoptions - our main sources of funding. Life isn't going to get back to normal any time soon, so we're getting with the times! We're going to hold prize draws, prize photo competitions with a small entry fee, showcase some of the items for sale i

n our "pre-loved clothing and accessories emporium & bric a brac boutique" that you can pay for online and collect in store, etc. Please feel free to send us any fundraising ideas you may have!

I know it's July but it's time to organise the RSPCA Cumbria West Christmas Fair. This will be in United Reformed Church Hall in Market Place Whitehaven on Saturday 15th November. We are looking for people who would like to have a stall to sell crafts, gifts, smelllies, anything that people will be looking to buy for presents or to treat themselves. Tables will be provided, we'll be charging £10 but all monies taken after that are yours.
We have had good attendance in the past so if you would like to book a stall please message the page, looking forward to seeing you there.

Fourth prize in our Afternoon Tea raffle is a pair of tickets for Gaiety Cinema in Whitehaven. Many thanks to the Gaiety for supporting our work.
Full list of prizes:
First Prize: Family Day Pass to Lake District Coast Aquarium, Maryport
Second Prize: Hamper of dog toiletries from Bugalugs Pet Care and a box of toiletries for the human who wins it.
Third Prize: Beautiful planter for that little place in your garden.
Fourth Prize: A pair of tickets to Gaiety Cinema
Raffle tickets are £1, well worth having a couple. If you can't attend the Afternoon Tea on 7th June but would still like a chance to win one of our fab prizes and support our cause, please get in touch and we'll let you know how you can get your hands on a ticket.

As well as the delicious cakes being on sale in the Pottery courtyard and the tombola, RSPCA Cumbria West is having a stall at this Christmas Fair in United Reformed Church Hall just along the road in James Street. Starting at 1.30, there will be other animal charity stalls and lots of lovely craft and gift stalls. Pop along and support them please.
