We have had a female tortoiseshell cat handed into us this afternoon found on the park bear Wayland Road.
She does look like she may have recently be bathed?
She doesn’t have a microchip

We have had a female British shorthair (Blue) cat handed into us on Saturday found on Rydal Avenue, where she had been hanging round for a few weeks.
She is microchipped but it is not registered to the current owner.

Meet the gorgeous Willow, this week’s superstar at Dogwood Referrals! 💖

Willow had a rare condition called Pes Varus, causing her leg to bend inward, something we occasionally see in dachshunds 🐶.

Working with Fusion Implants, we used custom-made guides to plan and perform surgery that straightened her leg with precision.
She’s now healing brilliantly and already back to her cheeky self! 💪💕

From tomorrow (Saturday 2nd August 2025) our Saturday opening hours are extending.

We will now be open all day 8.30am-5pm on a Saturday. We will be able to see both our own and Medivet Wem clients as the Wem practice will now be closed all day.

The rest of our opening times will remain the same.

We just wanted to share some lovely news that we had yesterday! 🥰

Paul’s daughter Enid has been at pony club for the first time this week and has come back with a special award! 🏆

Enid had been awarded the courtesy award for showing exceptional courtesy, supporting all the other attendees in her group and for her contagious smile!

We are very proud of Enid for getting such a wonderful award and look forward to hearing more about her week and her adventures when she next pops in! 🐴🥰

Everyone, meet Addie! 🐶

Addie popped in to see us as her owners were concerned about a lump that had appeared. After a careful examination, the team suggested Addie have surgery to remove the lump and she is now recovering and doing well.

May is Veterinary Nurse Awareness Month 👩‍⚕️ 🧑‍⚕️

💚This month celebrates and shines the light on all the wonderful vet nurses.

💚We have a wonderful team of nurses here at Whitchurch made up of Tom, Vicky and Beth along with our students Olivia and Ellie.

💚Our nurses do such a wonderful job at not only caring for your pets but also keeping the practice running.

💚A lot of people think that vet nursing is all about cuddling puppies and kittens but in reality it is a very intense job. Our nurses are such busy bees and are always up to something!! 🐝

💚To help show how much our nurses do we asked them to list some of the jobs that they do daily and have created a display in our waiting room. As you can see the list goes on and on!!!

We would like to thank all our nurses for all their hard work and the amazing job that they do for us and for our patients ❤️

This is the beautiful Zeva 🥰

Zeva and her owner came in yesterday to share the amazing news that after some stiff competition Zeva came 2nd in her class at Crufts this year! 🏆🤩

Zeva also spent some of the weekend at Crufts on the Discover Dog stand showing off what wonderful dogs Border Terriers are! Her owner was telling us how much Zeva enjoyed greeting and most importantly enjoying lots of fuss off the visitors to the stand. 🥰

We are so proud of Zeva for her achievements at Crufts and can’t wait to see what she can achieve going forward! 🥇

Daffodil (or Daffy for short) is one of our newest members of the Medivet Whitchurch family 🥰

Daffy came to see us yesterday dressed all festive to collect her worming tablets - we just couldn’t resist snapping how cute she looked! 📸

We can’t wait to see Daffy again soon… especially so our nurses can sneak in some more snuggles with her! 🙊😍

🎅🏼We will be CLOSED Christmas Day (25th) and Boxing Day (26th) to allow our team to enjoy a few festive days with their families.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas 🎅🏼🎵

Gus (left) and Willow (right) came to see us full of festive cheer yesterday in their Christmas outfits 🥰 We just couldn’t resist having a photoshoot with them to show them off to you all!

Gus has been a regular face these last couple of weeks after having a lump removal and being a typical Weimaraner made it all fun and games with trying to get his wound to heal! 🙈 Willow always comes along for some moral support (which really means coming for a sneaky gravy bone from our nurses but shh don’t tell Gus that’s the real reason! 🤫😂)

We also wanted to say a huge thank you to Gus and Willow’s owners who have been super kind and have brought us some amazing hampers for our team to enjoy 🥰🤍
