These two are getting more mobile by the day, and creating havoc in our morning presentations to the public, in the nicest way. This morning the little male wasn't being outdone by his sister 'flying' (more like wing-assisted jumping) onto the edge of their basket from the ground (a feat of about three inches off the ground) so he attempted to climb Trystan's trouser leg - only he had one leg in each foot. Neither of them was going anywhere fast 🤦🤓

Our Mottled Owl babies have been in the newspapers this week (story isn't quite straight but to be expected lol). Anyhow...

Our two young Burrowing Owls, now around 9 weeks old, have spent a couple of days now out in their own aviary. Previously they had been staying indoors with keepers at night and spending time during the day in one of the trained bird aviaries so that they could explore a little. They have taken to the aviary very well, they are very bold young critters, and of course very comical to watch. 🙂
