This hot weather is lovely for us but poses risks for our dogs. I genuinely don't understand why so many make the decision to put their dogs in danger. For me, my dogs are the most important and much loved members of the family and it's down to us as owners to ensure we keep them safe. Remember not walking your dog won't kill them, but walking them in this could. Be sensible and put your dogs first - get up early enough to beat the heat if you insist on walking them or simply stay home and do some training, play games out of the heat and give your dogs some enrichment and get their brains thinking.
There is no reason for your dogs to be out and about in this weather.

A dog trainer training their dog to pull doesn't make much sense , I know.
But just because I race my dogs that doesn't mean all loose lead work gets forgotten about. I wouldn't enjoy being dragged about by Womble all the time that's for sure!
If you're fed up of having your arms pulled out on walks, drop me a message. If my speedy sighthound who loves nothing more to run can do it, so can you and your pooch! 🐾🖤

The internet will give you a thousand opinions about your dog's behavior. Reddit threads, Facebook groups, TikTok experts, AI tools. All of it free. All of it fast.

But here's the problem: advice without context is dangerous.

No one in a comment section has taken a behavioral history, assessed bite risk or evaluated your situation. They don't know your dog's thresholds, environment, or medical background. They're giving generic answers to a deeply individual problem.

One poorly timed suggestion can worsen fear. One "just push through it" recommendation can set training back months.

When your dog is struggling with fear, anxiety, or aggression, that's not a sit-and-stay problem. It's emotional. And it deserves qualified, individualized help.
