🐾 Congratulations to Our Reactive Dog Course Graduates! 🐾

Over the past few weeks, these dogs and their humans have worked incredibly hard learning new skills, building confidence, and creating calmer, more positive experiences around other dogs and distractions.

Reactive dogs are not "bad" dogs.

Many are simply overwhelmed, worried, frustrated, or over-excited, and need support to learn different ways of coping with the world around them.

Throughout the course we focused on:

βœ… Building engagement and focus around distractions
βœ… Understanding why reactive behaviours happen
βœ… Improving handler confidence and timing
βœ… Developing calmness and emotional regulation
βœ… Creating practical skills for real-life walks

The transformation isn't about dogs sitting perfectly still or never reacting again.

It's about giving both dog and owner the tools to make better choices, feel more confident, and enjoy life together.

I'm incredibly proud of every team who took part. The commitment shown by both dogs and owners has been wonderful to see.

Well done Jerry Lee, Maisie, Raisin and Sooty – you've all been stars. ⭐

A huge thank you to Laura at Perfect Puppies for working so hard with me to deliver this course. It has been wonderful combining our experience and supporting owners as a team. Collaboration between local trainers allows us to offer dogs and their families the best possible support, and I am truly grateful for Laura's expertise and support throughout the programme.

If you have a dog that barks, lunges, pulls, fixates or struggles around other dogs, you're not alone, and things can improve with the right support.

Majo enjoying a bit of trancing and sniffing - he only ever does it under this one bush but we can't pass it without him having a go.

πŸ‘»πŸΎ Ever seen a dog go into slow-motion mode under curtains, tablecloths or low hanging branches? That’s called trancing β€” also known as ghost walking!

Dogs do it because they love the gentle tickle on their backs, and it sends them into their own dreamy little world.......... just another adorable dog quirk πŸ’›
