So proud of Murray. He's had his first procedure at the vets ( blood test ). We have been doing visits which initially went well but more recently he refused to step in the door. So we were rather worried about today's appointment as it would be his first time being hands on and in the consulting room.
In prep we have been practicing handling, putting his head up, touching his neck, feet etc but it was hard to know what he would be like with others as he is still wary of new people.
To help him the vets suggested some meds before to relax him a bit, we took him for a walk at his favourite field beforehand too.
He did brilliantly. Bit of encouragement (aka cheese) to get in the door but then he let all the things that needed to happen happen with just a few
Squiggles around 😆.
So proud, and yes he did get a new toy for being a good/brave boy. 👏
Thank you to The Vets At Dronfield for being very patient and understanding of him.
Hes now chilling at home on the sofa, probably destroying said toy.
