It's half term which means the girls have joined us for lots of fun on this week's walks 🥰

The dogs have loved all the extra racing, stick throwing and excitement 💖

🐾👃 Nose to the floor! 😂🌿

We never rush our walks, or our dogs! Because a walk isn’t just about getting the miles in… it’s about letting their senses and brains get a workout too! 🐶🤎

While running is brilliant for physical exercise, sniffing gives those busy brains a workout too! It provides mental stimulation, encourages natural doggy behaviours, and helps make walks more enriching and satisfying. 🧠🐾

So if your pup stops every two steps to investigate a suspicious blade of grass, we’re not behind schedule… we’re just catching up on the neighbourhood gossip! 📰🌱🤣

Meet Me Monday 🤎

Hey, I'm Issy and I own and run Walkies With Issy 👋🏼
I started Walkies with Issy after deciding I wanted a career that felt fulfilling, rewarding and fun whilst combining my love of animals and being outside, with the flexibility needed as a full time single parent of 2 children with additional needs 🤯 so back in 2023 Walkies With Issy was born 🥰

A bit about me and my own animal family: I have always been a massive animal lover, and I currently have quite a houseful! 🙈 My pack includes my two wonderful dogs Bo & Pippa, my beautiful cat Lola, a crested gecko named Michael Jax 🎙️ Louie boy the bearded dragon, and our newest addition, Petunia Tortalina the Hermann's tortoise 🐢 (plus our mice, fish and Giant African Land Snails!) 💖

When I'm not walking your lovely pups, tending to my own menagerie, or out with the kids, you'll usually find me:
❌ Binge watching some crime documentary or drama
🎨 Getting stuck into something arty or crafty—whether that's crochet, diamond art, or spontaneously painting and restyling a room late at night! 🙈
📸 Out with my camera practising the new techniques I'm learning on my photography course.

I'd love to know more about you and your furry family members so drop a comment below and introduce your pup (or other pets) and give me one interesting fact about yourself👇🏼🐾 I love learning about the people around me 🥰

Be a dog walker, they said. It will be fun, they said!

The first storm of the season is officially here, but the dedication doesn't stop! While I've been questioning my life choices in this wind, your dogs have been getting the absolute best care.

Some of my brave furry clients are absolutely loving splashing through the puddles, don't worry, everyone is getting thoroughly towelled off & checked for muddy paws!

To all my fellow dog walkers out today: stay strong, hold onto your hats, and may your waterproofs actually stay waterproof! ☂️

True or False?

TRUE! 🤎

Dogs basically have superpower vision, but with their noses! 👃✨ Their nostrils can operate independently of each other. This means when they sniff the ground, their brain instantly calculates whether a smell is coming from the left or the right. It’s a literal 3D scent-mapping system. This is why we never rush the pups on our walks—letting them sniff is like letting them read the local morning newspaper! 📰🐾

We welcomed the incredibly handsome Otto to the pack today. I'm sure he's going to love his adventures with us and make lots of doggy friends 🤎
