☀️ Hot Weather Announcement ☀️

Now the warmer weather is here, I just wanted to make everyone aware of how heat can affect dogs. Every dog is an individual, so if you feel your dog struggles in the heat more than others, please let me know.

Some dogs are naturally more affected by warmer temperatures, including brachycephalic (flat-faced) breeds, overweight dogs, and dogs with lower stamina or fitness levels.

As we move further into spring/summer, please understand that I may need to adjust walks accordingly. These changes are often made last minute depending on temperatures and how the dogs are coping on the day. This may include:

Moving walks earlier in the day
Cancelling walks for certain dogs but not others
Changing walks to pop-ins
Reducing walking times

Please don’t take these changes personally, they are always made with your dog’s safety and wellbeing in mind, especially if I notice your dog struggles more in the heat.

Additionally, if you feel it will be too hot for your dog and would prefer an earlier walk, just pop me a message and I will make changes where possible. Likewise, if you feel it is too hot and would rather cancel, there will be no charge provided I receive at least 24 hours’ notice.

Water will always be readily available, and every crate/area has its own fan. Cooling mats will also be used for dogs that do not chew them.

Please also understand that the walk times I allocate are not really up for debate, as I have to take all dogs into consideration and do what makes the most sense for everyone’s safety and wellbeing.

These adjustments may sometimes mean you don’t receive your desired walk time, but your dog’s safety and comfort will always come first. Thank you for your understanding 🐾
