The last weekend of August is upon us (and hopefully some rain too 🌧). Hoping everyone has a lovely bank holiday and as always we are here if you need us 24/7. This weekend we have John as duty vet along with Ellie, followed by bank holiday Monday which will be Amy as duty vet and Rachel for duty nurse 🐴🩺

💊 Medication Disposal 💊

ℹ All medication should be disposed of correctly. All you need to do is bring your left over, out of date or no longer required medication and even empty bottles/pots back to us here at the surgery and we will dispose of them correctly for you. 🤩

⚠ Did you know that out of date drugs can be harmful for your horse? 🐴 ⚠

So remember ......

❌ DON'T throw any medicine, containers, pots or bottles away in the bin 🗑
✅ DO bring them back into the surgery and we will do it for you 🏥💊

ℹ️ Did you know we hold a weekly dental clinic here at the practice EVERY Thursday. All our vets are fully qualified to do routine dentals. We also now have Charlie RVN BAEDT who will be taking bookings. So no need to wait long for the next clinic!

A very real and frightening experience for our client Cross Trees Livery A harsh reminder to everyone with this continuing heat. Do you have a practiced plan? Do you have relevant equipment? Do you have a contingency. If you don’t, NOW is the time to make one. Well done to all the team at Cross Trees Livery, not something you ever want to experience, but having a plan ensured all staff and horses were/are safe and unharmed.

⚠️ What a truly awful day/night for our stunning New Forest, our thoughts are with all those who have been affected.

As you will all no doubt be aware of the devastating fire which started along the A31, this road is still closed, along with and up to junction 2 of the M27 and the A338, these are major routes we use throughout the day.

We would ask all clients to please be patient as we endeavour to get to you whilst navigating the closures.

🎊 Well here we are, 75 years of looking after all your horses, ponies and donkeys in Hampshire, Wiltshire and Dorset.

🤩 We are very proud to be an Independent Veterinary Practice and 2026 sees 75 years of care and passion.
