Nestled near the local lakes and nature reserve in Thatcham, one of the oldest continually inhabited settlements in England - our Award Winning coffee is small batch hand-roasted to order, this ensures it loses none of its original flavour and maintains a richer fuller taste for longer. Every single coffee bean reflects our commitment to a sustainable business and our direct trade partnerships wit

h our farmers. We only use speciality grade beans, which have cleaner more distinctive flavours than cheaper commercial coffees, and are traceable to the skilled farmers and their farms across the world. These beans are carefully roasted to produce select flavours to suit a wide range of styles and tastes.

This stunning hand printed coffee sack came from Jaguara Estates in Brazil. Someone, somewhere, took the time to design and print this by hand. Just for the love of it.

We’re calling last orders on our Brazil Tropical 🇧🇷

Tropical Bahia is a product of unique circumstances. Producers based in the highest elevations in state of Bahia have some of the best coffee cultivation conditions in Brazil but often encounter problems with drying due to high humidity and rainfall during the harvest and processing season.

For this reason many choose to transport their cherries around 50km to the neighbouring Caatinga biome, known for its warmer, drier climate. En route, the cherries undergo a unique fermentation process in a closed truck.

The process never lasts more than 24 hours, but the resulting cup profile is packed with fruity sweetness.

Did you know coffee is amazing? Yes, 100% ☕✨
But did you also know that your daily cup goes through an incredible journey before it reaches you?

It all starts with coffee cherries, the bright red fruits that grow on coffee trees. Inside each cherry are the precious coffee beans, but they’re not brown yet! After harvesting, the cherries are processed to extract the green coffee beans, which are then dried and sorted.

Next comes the magic: roasting! 🌡️🔥 This is where West Berkshire Roastery comes in! Green beans are carefully roasted at high temperatures, transforming their flavour and giving them that rich brown colour we all love. The result? The aromatic, delicious coffee that fuels your day!

We're a family run company, bean on the block since 2010, based in Thatcham, Berkshire.

The front runner in providing coffee to go at shows & events across Berkshire, Hampshire and surrounding areas - we love friendly banter & causing a stir.

The Runner Bean team also hand-roast coffee, to order, for public and trade across the region including cafes, pubs, restaurants, hotels & coffee bars.

Supplying freshly ground coffee, food to go and much more!
