📢 TRACTORFEST 2026!!! 📢

Are you coming? We'll be there on Saturday and Sunday with plenty of treats, toys, and accessories, plus our have-a-go nosework area, our paddling pool for a cooling dip, and FREE pup cups! 😁

Last year some of our lovely customers struggled to find us so hopefully this little map will help! Basically we're smack bang opposite the tractor field so come and see those big fellas and you won't miss us! 🚜

Biddenden Tractorfest runs on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th August from 10-5pm. I think there's still tickets left which are really reasonably priced and it'll be a nice day out after the super hot weather we're about to have ☀️

When a dog wags its tail what does it mean? 🐶

Often we think it means the dog is expressing happiness and whilst that is often true it's not the end of the story.

Perhaps instead of thinking about a tail 'wag' (because we've been conditioned to think that the word wag = positive emotions) we should rather think about tail 'movement'.

Tail movements vary widely between breeds but the individual dogs themselves have a range of different movements to express different emotions. Your dog might communicate complete joy, happiness, uncertainty, concentration, anxiety, fear, or anger through different tail movements. Probably more too!

In addition to this body language signals should never be read in isolation, and instead the whole dog should be assessed when trying to understand what they are communicating.

(I don't just own a pet shop... I'm also a dog trainer, qualified hydrotherapist, and have worked with dogs for over 15 years. Feel free to pop in to chat about your dog 🥰)

And just like that, Pure Connection Pets turns 7 years old! 🥰🎉🎂

I can't quite believe that we've been here for 7 years...despite taking an absolute battering whilst the world lurches from one enormous disaster to the next, we've somehow managed to weather the storm and we're still here doing our thing (although both Finnegan and I are MUCH more grey than we were when we started 👵)

But the simple the reason we've managed to keep going through all of the madness is down to our wonderful customers. You and your dogs are the reason I get up and do something I truly love every single day. I wouldn't be here without you all.

So, genuinely, thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️

Thank you for every single sale, no matter how big or small, thank you for every time you've recommended me to another dog owner, thank you for every share, like and comment. Thank you for all of the chats, the laughs, and the friendships.

And thank you so much for bringing your dogs into my life. It's a genuine pleasure to be able to help you with them, and an absolute privilege that you put your trust in my knowledge, advice and recommendations 🥰
