🎨 Appearance

🖤 Dark-coloured body
🧡 Orange or golden markings
🐯 Striped patterning on the abdomen, giving it its “Tiger Rump” name

WHITE STRIPED BIRD EATER

🌴 Found in parts of South America, where it lives in warm, tropical environments.

📏 Size

📐 It can grow to around 15–18 cm across when its legs are fully spread!

🎨 Appearance

⚫ Usually dark brown or black
⚪ Has distinctive white stripes on its legs
🦵 Covered in tiny hairs

✨ Despite its name, it does not normally eat birds!
🕸️ It is a type of tarantula.
⚡ It can defend itself by flicking irritating hairs from its abdomen.
🌙 It is mostly active at night.
🛡️ Its hairs and large fangs help protect it from predators.
