Maple has laid an ootheca 🖤👀

This beautiful Phyllocrania paradoxa girl spent 7 days with her male, so fingers crossed this ooth is fertile 🤞🏼✨

It’s always amazing getting to watch moments like this!

Hopefully tiny ghost mantis babies in the future 👀🖤

A tiny little Phidippus regius Florida spiderling peeking out from the nest for a drink 🥹🕷️💧

The babies haven’t dispersed yet so right now I only get these tiny little peeks of them through the webbing 👀

I can’t wait until they all start coming out properly! Fingers crossed for a nice sized clutch 🤞🏼🖤

These tiny Hogna radiata slings are growing so well 🥹🕷️

It’s amazing how quickly they change at this stage! A couple more moults and some may be ready to find new homes 🏡✨

This little one decided my arm was the perfect climbing frame 😂

🕸️ Tonight was… eventful 😅

I decided to pull 4 of the 5 (!!) egg sacs that Morticia, my false widow (Steatoda paykulliana), has laid so far 👀🖤

She absolutely fought me over the last one though… so I gave in and let her keep it 🤣

I opened up what I believe is the second sac she laid, and pictured below are the eggs! Aren’t they amazing?!

One of the craziest things about Steatoda paykulliana is how long the eggs can take to develop — it can be up to 4 months from egg laying to actual spiderlings 🕷️

The first sac was laid around the 25th of March, so there’s still quite a wait ahead! I decided to pull them so I don’t completely lose track and suddenly end up with surprise babies hatching all over her enclosure 😅

Nature is honestly so cool 🖤

Just a tiny Hogna radiata sling doing tiny sling things 🥹🕷️

Gave the enclosure a little spritz for some humidity and a drink…

Then this tiny menace pooped and immediately climbed up for a sip 😂💩💧

Honestly I could watch these little ones for hours 👀
