Your puppy won’t stay little for long, but the lessons they learn now can last a lifetime.

Puppy Preschool is a six-week course designed to help your puppy grow into a confident, well-mannered and happy family dog, while giving you the knowledge and practical skills to guide them.

Beginning Monday 2nd November, experienced trainer and behaviourist Melanie Veale will help you work on:

🐾 Focus and engagement
🐾 Loose lead walking
🐾 Everyday life skills
🐾 Dog body language
🐾 Building a strong bond

Training is kind, ethical, enjoyable and focused on the situations you will face together in everyday life.

Education For Both Ends Of The Lead

What would you do if your dog suddenly had a seizure, was involved in an accident, broke a leg, started choking or got into difficulty in the water?

In an emergency, every second counts, and knowing what to do while waiting for veterinary help could make all the difference.

Today, 12 of us attended an in-person Canine First Aid course led by the fantastic Kelly from KK9 First Aid Training at Liddington Village Hall. The day was packed with invaluable knowledge, practical skills and expert guidance, leaving us all feeling more confident and prepared should the unthinkable ever happen. I’m delighted to say we all passed with flying colours and came away with our certificates!

One of the best parts of days like these is connecting with fellow pet professionals. Some of you will know, I firmly believes that pet professionals are colleagues, not competition. I am constantly inspired by the incredible business owners and animal care professionals I meet, and together we help raise standards, knowledge and support across our industry.

A huge thank you to Kelly for such an engaging and informative course.

A walk, a chat, fresh air, and good company... what could be better?

Last week, Mel and I enjoyed a beautiful walk through the Wiltshire woodlands, surrounded by happy dogs, stunning scenery, and fellow dog lovers. It reminded us exactly why we're so excited to launch our new Social Walks.

Join us this Saturday for the first of our regular social walks at Lydiard Park.

Saturday
10:00am - 11:00am

Meeting point:
The field next to the car park by the play park, giving all dogs the space they need to feel comfortable before we set off.

These walks are designed to provide a safe, relaxed environment where owners and dogs can enjoy time outdoors alongside like-minded people. Whether your dog enjoys making friends or simply prefers being part of the group from a comfortable distance, everyone is welcome.

Our Social Walks are built around the Canine Country Club Academy values of kind methods, practical skills and lasting results. They provide an opportunity to enjoy real-world experiences with your dog whilst connecting with fellow dog lovers in a supportive environment.

Mel and Sam will lead the walk, however all participants remain responsible for their own dogs at all times. Whilst we're happy to offer support where needed, these are social walks rather than training sessions.

Please bring:
• Plenty of treats
• Poo bags (although we'll likely have spares)
• Suitable footwear for muddy terrain
• Warm clothing for all weather conditions

Parking: £2 per car

The first few months of your puppy's life are some of the most important. The habits, confidence and skills they develop now can shape the dog they'll become for years to come.

That's why we offer Puppy Preschool at the Canine Country Club Academy (formerly Endless Pawsibilities).

Starting Monday 2nd November, this six-week course is designed to give both puppies and their humans the skills they need to enjoy life together.

Led by experienced trainer and behaviourist Melanie Veale, you'll learn through kind, ethical and practical training methods that work in the real world, not just in the classroom.

Over six weeks we'll cover:

• Socialisation and confidence building
• Life skills for everyday situations
• Loose lead walking
• Understanding dog body language
• Focus and engagement
• Building a strong bond with your puppy
• Real-life practical training skills

At the Canine Country Club Academy, our ethos is simple:

We believe training should be clear, kind and enjoyable, helping owners understand their dogs while giving puppies the best possible start in life.

Personal message from me whilst proudly working on-site at Red Lodge Canine Country Club about my top tips for fireworks preparation, support and thriving for your dogs. Also here is a poem I wrote to help condense the information, happy training! 🥰🐾❤️

"During fireworks season when your dog's arousal levels increase,

Loud noises, bright flashes and weird scents making anxiety a beast.

Preparation is key, get proactive by creating a plan to set you up for success,

Desensitise to sounds, learn helpful games and move your routine earlier to progress.

When it takes place watch for flat ears, low body, tucked tail, shaking or pacing,

Immediately redirecting focus with movement, games of fetch or treat chasing.

The adrenaline will slowly disapate by giving it somewhere to go,

Allowing for recovery and a chance to enjoy the show."
