It’s been a while since I posted. Although we’ve still been running we have started Agility and been on some longer walks. The Agility is fun and Hudson gets so excited. Sometimes it’s like sensory overload

Last weekend we went to a Border Collie Socialiastion session. This was so interesting. To see 6 collies all in the same space inteactimg in the same way was uncanny. There were times when we couldn’t tell which was which!

So Hudson and I ran in the CaniX event at Mayhill woods on Sunday morning. Bit of a learning curve for me, there were no toilets!

Quite a technical course and I have discovered I am no use going downhill, I definitely held Hudson back. Need a bit of practice I think. But we enjoyed it and came 4th again.

Spent a glorious week in the Brecon Beacons last week, who knew the weather could be so good in March? We didn't do any running as we were walking for most of each day. We clocked up 80KM of walking in 4 days. Hudson coped really well with the long walks mostly uphill! The scenery was stunning and it was wonderful to spend so much time in the outdoors.

Had a lovely run out up on the ridgeway yesterday with North Wiltshire Canicross , 12 1/2 km. I'm suffering today though! Hudson is showing no ill effects of our longer run.

It was extremely muddy and I think I ended up more muddy than Hudson after slipping and taking a tumble. No bones broken. this photo was after I had cleaned a lot of the mud off and changed shoes!!

We are currently using an Inlandsis Polar Quest X Back harness, it is extremely light and Hudson seems to prefer it to the others we have, it definitely suits his running.

Took part in our first event today. Thank you Canix.co.uk for a great run at Westonbirt. Hudson was a star, it was so noisy at the start and he was very well behaved.

Feeling much more confident that Hudson can cope with the noise and that many dogs now. It is definitely a learning curve for us both.

Met this beautiful boy Ralph this afternoon for a 1-2-1. Working on commands and how to stop. He’s full of energy and just wants to keep going! Thank you Laura Brooks for bringing him. 🤩
