❤️ A Little Honest Update…
Sorry, it's another long one 🫣
I wanted to be open and honest with everyone, as many of you may start seeing adverts from me over the coming weeks.
As most of you now know, the other groomer who rented a table within my salon has now left. I am absolutely gutted to have lost a dear friend and a fantastic groomer. I had already been advertising for another groomer before this, so I am now looking for two self-employed groomers to join the salon.
Some of you may also see adverts relating to the salon itself. Please don’t panic if you do.
The salon is a much bigger space than I need as a sole groomer, and it was always intended to be shared. When I first opened, my circumstances were very different. Since then, life has changed significantly. I now run both my business and my home as a single mum to two wonderful neurodivergent children, while also managing my own health conditions and upcoming surgery. Like many small business owners, I have to make sensible decisions to ensure my business remains financially sustainable.
That means I need to explore every option available to secure the future of Fur-get Me Knot Dog Grooming Services. My priority is, and always will be, keeping my business going and continuing to provide the calm, caring, one-to-one grooming environment that so many of your dogs know and love.
Whether that means finding the right groomers to rent the extra tables, adjusting how the salon operates, relocating in the future if necessary, or considering other options for the premises, I promise I will do everything in my power to keep Fur-get Me Knot going. This business isn’t just my job—it’s something I’ve poured my heart into, and I will fight for it.
If you’ve been affected by recent cancellations, or you’re waiting to hear from me, please know that I haven’t forgotten about you. At the moment I’m juggling a lot behind the scenes, and with the school holidays now here, replies may take me a little longer than usual. I’m working through everything as quickly and fairly as I can, while trying to make the best decisions for both my clients and my family.
To every single client who has supported me, recommended me, trusted me with your dogs and shown me kindness over the years—thank you. Your support means more than you’ll ever know, especially right now.
This has been one of the toughest periods since opening the salon, but I’m not giving up. Thank you for bearing with me while I navigate the next chapter, and thank you for continuing to support my little business. ❤️🐾
