I'm Becky and I'm a dog groomer in Swindon.

I have been working with dogs for over 17 years at a local boarding kennels. During this time I have developed extensive knowledge on all aspects and behavior of dogs. I started to groom dogs around 6 years ago and this became a strong interest and major focus for me as I developed my career. I have always had a love for dogs and caring for them in the best way possible. Grooming has so many healt

h benefits for dogs, it's not just about how they look. Grooming and caring for a dogs well-being has become a great passion for me. I've worked with many different breeds and dogs with a variety of temperaments! I have found nothing more rewarding that gaining the trust and creating a mutual bond with both nervous and aggressive dogs. This enables them to not only become comfortable with the grooming process but to enjoy it, which in turn brings me a great deal of personal satisfaction. I have passed my City and Guilds level 2 and am thrilled to have had the opportunity to open my own Salon in Basepoint Business Centre, SN5 7EX. I am delighted to welcome Lauren (Pawsie Paws) to the new Salon and look forward to many years of working together! It is very important to me to have someone working here with the same passion, skill and love for dogs and what we do! Despite having our own businesses, we work well as a team and can work with families of dogs or individually.

✨ Quick Health & Business Update ✨

Many of you know I’ve cut back on hours and socials recently to focus on family as we go through some big changes. I just want to say a massive thank you to all my wonderful customers for being so patient and supportive 🥰

After my hospital stay in June, I was hoping to be back to full strength, but I’ve had 6 weeks of fever, fatigue and GP visits. It turned out to be the flu, and I’m now on antivirals and finally feeling much better! We’re still investigating why my body couldn’t fight it off, and I’ve also discovered my iron levels are very low, which explains a lot of the exhaustion.

For now, I’m still running a temperature, so all pick-ups and drop-offs will be done outside until things settle. I’ve had to reduce some hours and let a few clients go due to my back issues, but I really don’t want to lose anyone else. My business is my dream come true, and both the dogs and their humans are what keep me going ❤️

Please don’t worry — if I didn’t feel safe and capable of doing my job, I wouldn’t be at work. I’m just moving a little slower than usual! Thank you for bearing with me through appointment shuffles, hospital visits, and now getting my son settled into his first year at school 🥹

I appreciate every single one of you for your kindness, patience, and loyalty. You really do make all the difference.

For some reason my messages on Facebook aren't working! So if anyone needs me the best way to get through is WhatsApp so when I have signal they come through! I've always had trouble with my network unless they come through as imessages! So apologies if I don't reply!

I will check my business side of things most evenings, but they may be a little delay whilst we're away!

Sorry for being so inactive on my Facebook recently!

After a recent a hospital stay, relationship breakdown and now day 11 of some kind of virus I've been pushing myself a little too far 🫩

I have had to cut quite a few big doggies due to nerve damage in my lower back and a few due to dropping Thursday afternoons 💔 Please bare with me whilst I sort my health and new hours out! Opening this salon was a dream come true and I'm not letting this stop me 💪

I've had quite a few requests to move appointments recently and I always try my best to accomodate, but I have 2 weeks holiday from next week and then fully booked until Oct time, so I don't have much wiggle room! So I'm really sorry to those who I can't make work 😞

Thank you to Lauren who has once again squeezed in a couple of clients ❤️

With this weeks heat we will try our hardest to keep your dogs as cool as possible during their appointments!

A few points to consider....

Please do not walk your dogs to or from their grooming appointments! Or at any time in the height of the sun/heat!

If you're worried about your dog for any reason please call before hand to let us know and will reschedule if needed!

Elderly dogs or breeds that suffer more in the heat, you could bath at home and let them dry naturally before their appointment, we work on clean dry coats. This may not give the neatest groom but safety first!

Any concerns please don't hesitate to call/message me/Lauren to discuss ❤️
