Brave girl pip came to see us at our Vets Now Manchester Hospital after experiencing laryngeal paralysis due to trauma. This affected the muscles in her voice box, preventing them from opening properly and restricting airflow.

Our wonderful team performed a successful laryngeal tie-back procedure to help her breathe more comfortably.

This sweet girl has shown great progress post-surgery and we couldn't be more thrilled 🥰🐾

We just had to share this incredible story from one of our very own vet nurses, Jade.

Back in 2012, her beloved cat Minx went missing from her home in Bristol. Despite endless searching, Minx was never found. 😢

A few weeks ago, out of the blue, Jade got a call from Fishguard Veterinary Services. A kind stranger had brought in a stray cat, and thanks to a microchip (and the same phone number after all these years!), they were able to trace her back to her rightful owner. It was Minx!

Jade made the 2.5-hour journey to be reunited with her girl, and yes, there were tears. 🥹 Minx is now safe at home, starting her recovery, surrounded by love.

If this isn’t a reminder to microchip your pets (and keep your details up to date), we don’t know what is! 🐾💕

----

We're heartbroken to share that after her incredible return home, Minx was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer and has since passed away peacefully at the age of 18. Her final weeks were filled with love, cuddles, and the comfort of being with her family once more. ❤️

With soaring temperatures this weekend, heatstroke in pets poses a real danger and can be fatal.

🐾 Never leave pets in hot cars or conservatories
🐕 Walk your dog early in the morning or late at night
💦 Keep them hydrated and cool

Watch for signs like heavy panting, drooling, lethargy, and collapse. If you suspect heatstroke in your pet, contact your vet immediately. Prevention is key, keep them cool, keep them safe.

A few years ago, the gorgeous Elsa underwent a subcutaneous ureteral bypass (SUB) to relieve obstructions in her urinary tract caused by stones.

Though the procedure helped, it sadly left her with chronic kidney disease, a condition she continues to manage with remarkable resilience. Thanks to the unwavering love of her family and the dedicated care of our Vets Now Manchester Hospital team, Elsa is now happy, thriving, and living her best life. 🐈❤️

A rabbit’s diet should mainly consist of good quality hay, grass and nuggets, but fresh greens are a great way to add variety. Here are a few tasty options your bunny might enjoy: cabbage, cucumber, celery, mint, and watercress! 🐰🥬

Always introduce new foods slowly, and be sure your rabbit has constant access to fresh water. 🥰

Meet the handsome Floyd 🐾

This gorgeous boy recently answered the call to help save a life! Signed up through Pet Blood Bank UK, Floyd was invited to our Aberdeen clinic to donate blood, and he smashed it. He was so calm, brave, and well-behaved that our team couldn’t resist awarding him a Brave Pet Certificate 🏅

Let’s hear it for Floyd in the comments 👏❤️ a true four-legged hero who helped another pet in need.

Back and better than ever!

These lively pups recently bounded back into our Vets Now Belfast clinic, showing off just how far they’ve come.

When they first arrived, only days old, they were fragile and needed urgent care from our team.

Now, they’re healthy, happy, and full of playful energy - bringing smiles and a little bit of chaos to our waiting room. We couldn’t be happier to see them thriving! ❤️🐶

Look who dropped into our Vets Now Belfast clinic!🦉

This adorable owl fledgling had taken a tumble from its nest. Thankfully, after a check-up and some medication from our vet, Sasha, it was found to have no serious injuries.

With help from the amazing USPCA volunteers, it was carefully returned to it's nest where a sibling was waiting for him ❤️
