Ever wondered what your pony is thinking? 🐴💭 It’s time to find out! Join us for a Fun & Friendly Groundwork Clinic with the wonderful Sarah Ciantar on Saturday, 31st January!

Whether you want to build a better bond, tackle those "spooky" corners, or just learn a secret language with your pony, this clinic is for you! Groundwork is the ultimate way to boost your confidence and your horse’s fitness while having a total blast.

Mindful Horsemanship Demonstration

1:00pm · 25th January

Come along and meet Sarah for a one hour mindful horsemanship demonstration at 1:00pm. Sarah will be working alongside her own horses, showing how she approaches and practices mindful horsemanship.

This is a relaxed, informal opportunity to watch, learn, and ask questions. The demonstration is completely free to attend, and we’ll be providing hot drinks and, of course, biscuits ☕🍪
Afterwards, there will be time to chat with Sarah and, if you wish, discuss booking a session with a Twinstead Riding School horse and taking your first steps on your TRT journey.

Hi I am Sarah Ciantar from Mindful horsemanship. I have been working with horses for over 20 years, in that time I have worked on many different yards with many different horses. Though we are all forever growing our knowledge my experiences so far have brought me to understand better ways of training.

In my sessions I try to help people reconnect with these amazing animals. You will learn to read their body language and to listen to them.
You will learn how to help them, understand their behaviour and become a better partner for the horse.

I believe when the horses needs are met they will try their best to please us.
I have a special interest in Liberty work and would like to continue to progress riding bridleless with my own girl Ruby

🤗 Exciting news 🤗

At Twinstead, we believe in providing the right, correct, and best training possible. At the heart of everything we do is the belief that our horses are our greatest teachers and our closest partners. Horsemanship, to us, is not just about riding it’s about trust, respect, and true partnership.
One of our core values is passing this mindset on to the next generation of riders, helping them build strong, thoughtful, and compassionate relationships with their horses.

That’s why we are incredibly excited to announce that we will be working alongside the brilliant Sarah of Mindful Horsemanship, delivering inspiring and meaningful training sessions together.

Sarah has kindly offered to host a demonstration at Twinstead Riding School, where she will showcase the incredible work she does and the powerful connections she builds between horse and human.
More details about the sessions and the demonstration will be shared very soon.
We couldn’t be more excited to continue growing, learning, and strengthening the bonds and friendships we share with our horses not just improving our riding skills, but deepening our horsemanship.

Meet the newest members of the Twinstead team 🐴

We’re incredibly lucky to be surrounded by such beautiful animals (who also happen to have a lot to teach us). The knowledge, personality, and horsey wisdom they’re bringing is endless and we’re already learning who’s really in charge.

A huge thank you to the owners for making this possible and trusting us with their very prized (and very loved) possessions.

❄️ The snow still didn’t stop us today at Twinstead ❄️
Today’s activities included:
• Defrosting taps (again)
• Checking rug temperatures like we’re on Horse CSI
• Frozen fingers ❄️
• Picking up our new loan horse 🐴
• And, of course, the essential tea-drinking breaks ☕

Somehow, in between all that, we also managed a lovely visit from our saddle fitter and physiotherapist because clearly our horses are more pampered than we are 💅
Yard duties ✔️
Big round bales rolled out ✔️
Ice buckets smashed ✔️

Happy horses achieved, humans slightly frozen. Heading home at last, ready to do it all again tomorrow… assuming we’ve thawed out by then 😅
