☀️🐶 HOT WEATHER WARNING🐶☀️
With temperatures rising, it’s vital to protect our furry friends from heatstroke, which can be life-threatening if not caught early.
🔍 Symptoms of Heatstroke in Dogs:
- Heavy or continuous panting
- Excessive drooling
- Bright red or pale gums
- Lethargy or confusion
- Vomiting or diarrhoea
- Collapse or seizures
🚨 If you suspect heatstroke:
- Move your dog to a shaded, cool area
- Pour cool (not cold) water over their body—avoid the face
- Use a fan or breeze to help cool them down
- Offer small sips of water
- Contact your vet immediately
✅ Prevention Tips:
- Walk dogs early morning or late evening
- Always provide shade and fresh water
- Avoid hot pavements—do the 5-second hand test
- Never leave dogs in cars, even for a few minutes
- Consider cooling mats or vests for vulnerable breeds
