12 years since we opened our doors and became part of the community. We were the FIRST fully employee-owned vets practice in the UK; meaning all the staff you see (apart from when we have the odd locum, not that locums are odd we hasten to add 😂) are equal owners.
We are proud to say we remain fully independent and employee-owned to this day. Happy 12th Anniversary to us! 😊

Please note that from Monday 18th, Causewayhead Road will be closed for roadworks for four weeks. Temporary 3-way traffic lights will be in place. This is likely to cause delays while travelling to the practice, especially at peak times, so please allow extra time for your journey. Thanks.

Update : Thanks for all the shares. The owner of the wee cat has been found.

Sadly, we have had a female tabby cat brought in to the practice this evening who had been hit by a car and unfortunately she has passed away. She doesn’t appear to have a microchip and she isn’t wearing a collar. She was hit on Union Road in Bridge of Allan. If you think this might be your cat please give us a call on 01786 474471.

⬇️ IMPORTANT CHANGES ⬇️

As of today (1st September) the RCVS (Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons - the regulatory body for vets in the UK) are introducing new guidance on prescribing prescription-only medicines. The guidance is an important step towards ensuring responsible antimicrobial and antiparasitic use. And this guidance is something we must now abide by.

The new guidance requires that a physical examination by a vet has to be performed every time any antibiotics, antifungals and antivirals are required for your animal. This also includes new guidance on flea/worm/tick treatment and the need for a examination when you or the vet decides in a change to products used.

These guidelines could result in increased consultations/examinations than you are currently used to.

We really appreciate your patience and understanding during these changes. We MUST follow these new guidelines so please respect us when we explain the need for your pet to be seen. Please remember these changes have come from our governing body, not ourselves.
