Today I had the pleasure of grooming Corrie, a beautiful 15½-year-old Cocker Spaniel. ❤️

Her coat had become quite overgrown because her owners were afraid they might lose her. Six months ago, Corrie suffered a stroke, and it was an incredibly frightening time for the whole family.

Thankfully, with a special diet, lots of care, and an incredible amount of love, Corrie has made a wonderful recovery. Seeing her happy, comfortable, and enjoying life again is truly heartwarming.

Stories like Corrie’s remind me just how powerful love, dedication, and hope can be. Wishing this sweet girl many more happy, healthy days ahead. 🐾❤️

✨ Before & After – Dental Cleaning 🦷✨

Today I had the pleasure of welcoming this lovely Maltese for a teeth cleaning appointment. She was such a sweet, calm and well-behaved girl throughout the entire treatment. ❤️

The transformation speaks for itself! Removing plaque and tartar helps improve oral health, freshens breath, and keeps those beautiful smiles healthy.

🐾✨ What a wonderful week meeting so many lovely new furry friends! ❤️

This week I had the pleasure of welcoming some amazing new clients to Monika’s Pet Grooming.

🐶 Guinness, a Cavapoo puppy, came for his very first puppy grooming appointment. He was such a brave and well-behaved little boy, and I couldn’t be prouder of him. ❤️

🐾 I also met a lovely 6-year-old Jack Russell Poppy for her very first deshedding treatment. She was an absolute superstar! The amount of loose coat that came out was incredible – her owners couldn’t believe how much hair was removed.

🤍 Tosia, the adorable Maltese, was full of energy from the moment she arrived, but she was such a good girl throughout her groom. It was a pleasure to have her in the salon.

🐕 And of course, handsome Max the Dachshund came to visit too. He was such a good boy, especially during his nail trim! He sat so nicely and even seemed to pose while I clipped his nails – he made my job so easy. 🥰

I absolutely love meeting new faces and getting to know different breeds and personalities. Every dog is unique, and it’s such a privilege to be trusted with their care.

After a lovely 3-day trip to Poland to spend
some time with my family, it was so nice to be back doing what | love.❤️✂️

grooming appointments, and I couldn't have asked for a better welcome back!🐶✨
I'm so grateful to all my wonderful clients for
keeping me busy and trusting me with your beautiful dogs. It truly makes coming back to work such a joy when I get to spend my days with these amazing four-legged friends.

Many of you know me through Monika's Pet Grooming, but today I wanted to ask for a small favour for my daughter.

She is currently completing an internship with The Borgen Project, and as part of her internship she is fundraising to support their work tackling global poverty through advocacy and policy change.

✨ Yesterday’s deshedding appointments ✨

Yesterday I had two lovely deshedding appointments – beautiful Bella the Labrador and handsome Zeus the Staffie. 🐾🖤

Both left looking and feeling so much better after having all that loose undercoat removed. Just look at the amount of hair! 😍

Regular deshedding helps reduce shedding around the house, keeps the coat healthy, and makes your dog much more comfortable.

Thank you to Bella’s and Zeus’s families for trusting Monika’s Pet Grooming. It was a pleasure to see them both! 💕

✨ Before & After – Saluki Dental Clean ✨

Today this beautiful Saluki came in for an ultrasonic teeth cleaning. 🦷🐾

The difference speaks for itself! The treatment helped remove a significant amount of plaque and tartar, leaving the teeth much cleaner and helping to support healthier gums and fresher breath.

Regular dental care is just as important as grooming. Keeping your dog’s teeth clean can help prevent gum disease, bad breath, and more serious health problems later in life.

Scooby’s First Puppy Groom! 🐶🛁✨

Today I had the pleasure of grooming gorgeous Scooby, a 7-month-old Cavalier, for his very first full groom.

A huge thank you to his lovely mum for getting him used to the hairdryer at home. It made such a difference, and he was so relaxed during drying, which is a big step for a puppy’s first grooming experience.

Scooby was such a good boy! 💙 He wasn’t too keen on having the fur around his paws trimmed, but that’s completely normal for a first groom. With patience, positive experiences, and regular visits, I’m sure he’ll soon get used to it.

Well done, Scooby – you did amazingly today! I can’t wait to see you again for your next spa day. 🐾✨

I first met Hera, a beautiful Spinone, when her mum invited me for a walk. ❤️

I still remember that first meeting. Hera had only spent one night in her new home. She was very shy, unsure of people, and lacked confidence.

A few months later, she came to me for her first hand stripping appointment, and I couldn’t believe the transformation. Hera had become so much more confident, relaxed, and trusting. It was amazing to see how far she had come.

A huge credit goes to her wonderful owner, who put so much love, patience, and dedication into helping Hera feel safe and confident. She truly did an incredible job. 👏❤️

Stories like Hera’s remind me that trust takes time, and with patience, kindness, and understanding, amazing transformations are possible.

Thank you for trusting me to be a small part of Hera’s journey. 🐾

✨ Yesterday, beautiful Betsy came in for her very first Full Groom. 🐶❤️

She was an absolute superstar, and I’m so proud of how well she did!

But her calm and confident behaviour didn’t happen overnight. Before her first full groom, Betsy came to me regularly for Puppy Grooms, giving her time to get used to the grooming environment, the sounds, the equipment, and being handled.

🐾 This is why regular puppy grooming is so important. It helps build confidence, reduces stress and anxiety, and creates positive grooming experiences from an early age. The result is a happy, relaxed dog who enjoys coming for their grooms.

Starting early really does make all the difference. 💕
