Lee Ferry has designed and developed a LANTRA-certified School Dog Therapy Course, training numerous school therapy dogs across the North East of England.
But his experience does not stop with dogs.

Before becoming a dog trainer, Lee spent 20 years working in youth services and became Principal Officer for Sunderland City Council Youth Services.

That gives him a rare understanding of both:

• how dogs behave in busy environments
• how young people respond to support, structure and positive engagement

🐾 Meet Copper: An Inspiring Journey of Resilience 🐾
I wanted to share a truly special story with you all. This is Copper, a beautiful Golden Retriever who lost his sight in both eyes.

When his owner, Mrs. Craggs, first contacted me, they were facing a really tough transition. Because Copper could no longer see, he was understandably anxious—walking into obstacles, pulling hard on the lead, and using all of his strength just to navigate the world.

We got straight to work! I introduced Copper and Mrs. Craggs to clicker training, teaching them how to precisely mark and reward the positive behaviors we wanted to see.

The results? Absolutely incredible. Copper tuned into the sound of the clicker and the reward of the treats beautifully. In just two training sessions, his confidence soared, and he was walking to heel perfectly—which is exactly what you see him demonstrating in this video!
