If you've been thinking about visiting Derrington Millennium Green, now is the perfect time. Our wildflower meadows are bursting with colour and alive with wildlife, providing one of the most spectacular displays we've seen in recent years.
As a designated Site of Special Biological Importance, the meadows play a vital role in supporting local biodiversity. This year's display includes a wonderful variety of wildflowers and grasses, with orchids, clover, vetch, Oxeye Daisy, buttercups and Sanguisorba all thriving across the Green.
The meadows are buzzing with insects, birds are feeding among the grasses, and every visit reveals something new. Whether you're a keen naturalist, photographer, or simply looking for a peaceful walk surrounded by nature, there's never been a better time to explore the Green.
Please help us protect these special habitats by keeping to the paths where possible and taking only photographs.
Special thanks to Steve Johnson who shot the drone footage used in this video.
