Genevieve Joyce is an equine manual therapist trained in equine osteopathy, remedial sports massage therapy, craniosacral therapy, myofascial release and kinesiotaping. Therapy targets areas of pain and discomfort in both the sports and leisure horse. The horse has many ways of showing it's discomfort:
Bucking
Rearing
Napping
Head shaking
Resistance when being tacked up
Difficult with the farrier/

have feet picked up
Refusing to jump
One sidedness
Stiffness/refusal to work in an outline
Flinching when groomed
Reluctance to load

If you notice a change in your horses posture, consider giving your bodyworker a call, they might find something you aren’t able to see!

Small issues left untreated, turn into BIG issues that are hard to treat!

I can’t stress enough the value in knowing your horse and noticing those small changes. Then acting on them before a series of compensations cause real havoc across the whole body.

A horses body is extremely complex, so picking up on the little issues can usually save you a lot of stress in the future!
