Today, we celebrate these fascinating and often misunderstood creatures. Snakes play an incredibly important role in maintaining the balance of our ecosystem, controlling pest populations, contributing to vital medical research and some make the most amazing pets.

Let's take a moment to appreciate their beauty and importance, and lets all learnt something new about these amazing reptiles.

There are over 3,000 different species of snakes all around the world; ranging from the tiny thread snake that reaches 10cm in length to the massive reticulated pythons that can get up to an impressive 6.5 meters. Each species is wonderfully unique and plays an important role in the biodiversity of our planet.🌎

🎊 COMPETITION TIME 🎊

We are running a “Pet of the Month” competition each month. 🩷

How it works:

Send in a picture of your pet with their name and we will pick a favourite pet at random, to be Pet of the month. You are more than welcome to enter the same pet as previous month’s entries however; you may not enter any images that have previously won.

Entries must be in by 3pm on the 27th of this month in order to be the following months’ pet of the month. 📅
The winning pet will have their picture printed out and displayed in store within the pet department for the whole month. Along with that, the winner will receive a £10 voucher to spend anywhere in store. 🎉

Images should be ONLY of your pet. Any images with either yourselves or any other person will not be accepted, as the image will be displayed on the shop floor for all other customers to see. 🩵

*Screenshots of camera rolls or of home/lock screens will not be accepted into the draw.*

Winner will be announced on the 1st of each month here on Facebook.
