Are you considering boarding for your dog while you’re on holiday?
All businesses that look after other people’s dogs in their own home, commercial kennels or day care facilities need a licence to trade.
This also applies if day care or boarding is provided in addition to other services, such as dog grooming or dog walking.
Before businesses are allowed to legally trade as dog boarders, they are subject to an inspection to ensure that all the proper welfare standards are being met and the animals will be treated with care.
