A groomer should want to know all of these things and anything else you feel is significant for us to know about your dog

Withholding any information is not helpful for us or for your dog. If they have had issues with grooming or have bitten in the past for example, we need to know. We won’t judge, we’ll just know better how to keep your dog feeling as safe as possible

Any dog groomer knows. Having the best shears is what really refines our work. From the quality of the craftsmanship to the way they fit our hand, there are lots of reasons to prefer specific shears. There are SO many different coat textures out there, having a range is essential. Plus most of us are magpies and they put little jewels and things on them to attract our easily aesthetically pleased attention. Scissors are the most fun thing to shop for in our profession

They’re not cheap and they need to be maintained (cleaned & oiled daily) and professionally sharpened when needed

These are my absolute every day faves. The ones I MUST NOT DROP 🤣 Because I wouldn’t want to do a day without them. Scissors are often rendered unusable if dropped to the floor just once

I haven’t included tags as some of my shears are a few years old now and in all honesty I can’t remember where I bought them all from! Most dog grooming suppliers will stock a version of all of these 🤎
