A new chapter begins ✨

After much reflection and growth, we want to share that New Forest Pet Services is now closing as we transition into an exciting new direction.

We are incredibly proud of everything this journey has brought us—the dogs, the clients, the memories, and the community we’ve built along the way. Thank you to everyone who has supported us.

But this isn’t an ending… it’s a transformation.

🐾 NEW: Home Grooming for Dogs – A Welfare-First Approach 🐾

I’m currently developing a new owner-education programme designed to help dog owners safely groom their own dogs at home, with welfare as the priority.
This is not a professional grooming qualification.

It’s for owners who want to:
✔ Understand their dog’s coat and grooming needs
✔ Learn to recognise stress and body language during grooming
✔ Maintain their dog’s coat safely between professional grooms
✔ Build calmer, more positive grooming experiences at home

The programme will include:
📘 A stand-alone theory guide (downloadable)
✂️ Optional 1:1 guided grooming sessions for owners.
This approach focuses on comfort, safety, and realistic expectations — not perfection or speed.

🐾 Meet Leo – The Little Dog with the Biggest Heart! 💛

Say hello to Leo, a gorgeous 8-year-old terrier mix who’s looking for his forever home. Don’t let his age fool you — this boy has energy to spare! He loves a good run around the garden, a cuddle on the sofa, and being right by your side for all of life’s adventures.

Leo was born with a deformed front paw, and although he has a small ongoing wound on the pad, it doesn’t slow him down one bit. He’s a happy little hopper, running and jumping with a huge grin on his face! 🐕💨
We’ll be trying a special boot to help protect his paw outdoors and keep him comfortable.

He’s:
💛 Sweet-natured and affectionate
🏃‍♂️ Active and playful, loves walks and zoomies
🐶 Good with other dogs when introduced properly
🏡 Crate trained and enjoys his cosy den
👧 Best suited to a home with older or calm children (he can be a bit excitable!)
🐱 Not cat tested

Sadly, Leo came into our care after his elderly owner moved into a care facility following a hospital stay. He’s been with us just over a month and has settled beautifully.

Right now, we’re gathering interest from potential adopters while things are finalised for his previous owner. If you think you could offer Leo the love, security, and fun he deserves, we’d love to hear from you.
