🌞 Heat Wave Notice 🌞

Due to the high temperatures expected for the rest of the week, I’ve made the decision to rearrange all appointments booked after 12pm this week.

The welfare and comfort of the dogs will always be my top priority. Although I’m doing my best to keep the salon cool, it’s becoming very warm in the afternoons, especially with our large windows.

It’s also not just about the time spent in the salon, travelling to and from appointments in this heat can be uncomfortable and potentially unsafe for the dogs too.

I’m really sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but this decision is being made with your dog’s wellbeing in mind 🙂

I’ll be contacting all affected clients directly to arrange an alternative appointment date.

🌾🐾 GRASS-SEED SEASON IS HERE! 🐾🌾

They may be tiny, but grass seeds can cause some very big problems for our dogs.

At this time of year, grass seeds can easily become trapped in paws, ears, eyes, noses and coats. If left unnoticed, they can lead to pain, infections and sometimes even require veterinary treatment.

Here are a few simple ways to help protect your dog:

✔️ Check paws, ears and coats after every walk
✔️ Avoid long grass where possible
✔️ Keep coats well groomed and tidy
✔️ Watch out for signs such as limping, excessive licking, head shaking or sudden sneezing

A quick check after each walk could save a lot of discomfort. ❤️

As temperatures rise, it's important to take a few extra precautions to keep your dog safe, happy, and comfortable.

💧 Always provide fresh water
🌳 Make sure they have access to shade
☀️ Avoid walking during the hottest part of the day
🐾 Check pavements before heading out
🚗 Never leave your dog in a parked car

I'm so proud of Teddie today! 🐾

Teddie has been coming to me for a few months now, and when we first started, I could never get anywhere near his face. Today was a huge breakthrough!

It wasn't perfect, and we still have some work to do, but for the first time he actually let me clip and scissor around his face. 🥰

Moments like these remind me that grooming isn't always just about the finished look; it's about building trust, patience, and confidence. I'm so proud of how far Teddie has come. ✂️🐶

Teddie is always super excited and full of beans, such a character! 🤭 He keeps me on my toes every visit, but seeing his confidence grow makes it all worthwhile ❤️🐾
