Hi my names Hayley, I have worked with animals all my life and hold qualifications in animal management and welfare, veterinary nursing, advanced canine behaviour and a BSc (Hons) in animal behaviour and welfare. I've gained a vast amount of handling experience in my years working as a veterinary nurse so you can be at ease knowing your animals are in great hands.

That “crazy”, bitey, zoomy behaviour?
It’s often not bad behaviour at all…

👉 It’s an overtired dog

Just like kids, when dogs are tired they don’t slow down…
they go wild.

Signs to watch for

• Bitey / grabbing clothes or the lead
• Zoomies that won’t switch off
• Ignoring cues they usually know
• Overreacting to everything

What helps

✔️ Calm, quiet space
✔️ Encourage rest (don’t add more stimulation)
✔️ Shorter walks / training sessions
✔️ Sniffing & enrichment over chaos

Sometimes the best training…
is just a nap 😴

🐣 Easter & dogs – what to watch out for 🐾

Easter is a lovely time for us… but it can be risky for our dogs if we’re not careful 👇

🍫 Chocolate – toxic for dogs, even small amounts
🌸 Spring flowers (daffodils, lilies & more) – can be harmful
🧺 Easter egg hunts – hidden chocolate = hidden danger
🍬 Sweets & wrappers – choking & tummy upset risk
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Busy households/visitors – can overwhelm some dogs

What helps:
✔️ Keep treats out of reach
✔️ Supervise children around dogs
✔️ Give your dog a quiet, safe space
✔️ Stick to routine where you can

If your dog struggles with visitors, excitement or busy environments…
Easter can be a big trigger

Don’t wait for things to go wrong 👇

✔️ Set them up with a safe space
✔️ Use enrichment to keep them occupied
✔️ Advocate for them (they don’t need to greet everyone)

And of course… no chocolate! 🍫❌

Management = prevention 💛

Time for a little recharge ☀️🐾

🐾 This is why your dog ‘randomly’ reacts 🐾

Feel like your dog’s behaviour sometimes comes out of nowhere?
Fine one day… all over the place the next?

Their cup is probably full — let me explain…

Everyday experiences adds to their “cup” —
👥 visitors
🔊 loud noises
🏃‍♂️ busy places
⚡ high energy play
&more

And when that cup gets too full it over spills
That’s when we start to see pulling, barking, reactivity or “over the top” behaviour.

What helps empty it matters just as much:
😴 sleep
🧠 enrichment
👃 sniffing
🔁 routine
🛡️ feeling safe

Manage your dog’s cup, manage their behaviour.

Training isn’t just what you do on the lead…

Isn’t it funny how 2 degrees of sunshine turns everyone into a new person 😅

Winter version of us:
“I’ll just do a quick 20 mins… it’s freezing.”

Spring version of us:
“Let’s go for a nice long walk, maybe grab a coffee, sit in the sun…” ☀️

And your dog?
Living their absolute BEST life because of it 🐾

Longer walks
More sniffing time
Less rushing = calmer dogs

It’s not just the weather that’s changed…
…it’s the quality of the walk 👀

Remember 💡
Your dog doesn’t necessarily need more miles — they need better enriched walks

And sunshine just makes it easier to slow down and enjoy time outdoors 🙌

I know it’s probably a false spring but we’re loving it nonetheless 😌
