Very honest post because not everything in business is always easy....
I'm not going to lie when someone rung up and asked me if I will take x2 xls and x1 cane corso, and 1 of the xls is funny with new people, it would of been much easier for me to just say no..... but did I? Not a chance because I stand by the fact everyone needs a safe place for their dogs to go.
Anyone that knows me knows I like a challenge and not much or any breed fazes me not because I think I know it all or because I'm stupid but because it's my job yes my job not my business but my job day in day out.
All different breeds all different sizes and not every one of them are simple nor easy.
I had these 3 beautiful dogs in for a trail and I will be honest I thought it was going to be the dog that made me go against everything I know and give up and say I couldn't have her, because I am only small and she was so unsure and wasn't going to give in, not because she's nasty but because she was scared and protective her mum & dad just dropped her off to place she didn't know and people they had never seen before.....
Did I walk away a couple of times thinking I wouldn't be able to win this dog over.... yes absolutely!
Did I give up ..... no I refused to.
I kept the owner updated and didnt just say she was fine and never take them again. I explained and we worked together.
1 night trail and everyone went home happy.
Fast forward a week they are now back in for their holidays longer this time.....
This is day 2 she remembered me and remembered I was never going to hurt her or her buddies but also I wasn't going to give up.
I think it's safe to say we are now friends and watching her play muzzle free today brought tears to my eyes....
Not only was I pleased for her and her owners so they can now have a break without worrying but because I generally was proud of myself for not giving up and giving her the chance every dog deserves ❤️🐶🐾
Here's to many more happy stays 🐾🐶
