๐ Fourth Update 13th March ๐
Assuming he continues to improve and is medically cleared to move, Bandit will be headed to our good friends at Angels 4 Dogs Rescue Charity No: 1177918 early next week.
He'll still have to serve his statutory 7 days, but once that time elapses, he'll be formally signed over to their care.
A nice quiet kennel is being set up for him as we speak and he'll have lots of goodies to take with him.
A donation link for the rescue will be posted in the comments.

๐ Third Update 13th March ๐
We've managed to trace Bandit's chip all the way to Ukraine, but from there, the trail goes blank.
The chip itself was sold in 2022, so assuming he was chipped as a puppy, this would could make him anywhere between 1 - 3 years old.

๐ First Update 12th March ๐
Bandit has successfully come round from surgery and is now heading back to base so he can be monitored through the night by our fantastic kennel team.
For The next 24 - 48 hours he'll still be considered high risk, as this is when neurological deficits, bleeds on the brain or seizures can surface.
We're in contact with the microchip manufacturer and its looking more likely that he's come from a country outside of the EU.
We'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in his care. Your diligence in reporting him to the council and the donations towards his vet fees have truly saved his life.
We're forever grateful to Swale Barn Vets and our kennels who always go above and beyond.
Bandit is a sweet lad who will only know comforts from now on.
If you have information relating to this dog or his owner, please contact SBC on 01795 417850.
Once he's out of the woods, Bandit will be looking for a rescue space.
Thank you everyone โค๏ธ

๐จ SEVERELY INJURED DOG ๐จ
We've taken a call for a Rottweiler/German Shepherd type dog found severely injured in Ridham Dock Road.
He has significant blunt force trauma to the head that has resulted in a complete fracture of the skull, leaving brain tissue visible.
He's chipped, but it isn't registered.
He will be undergoing surgery shortly, but the next 24 - 48 hours will be critical.
We're desperately seeking a rescue organisation to take this lad under their wing, as he will need ongoing care. If any rescues are in a position to help, please message us directly or call SBC on 01795 417850.
If you'd like to donate towards his life saving care please call Swale Barn Vets on 01795 608820 quoting 'Swale Stray Dog March 12th'.
Please wish Bandit luck โค๏ธ
