🐾 A little bit about life at Muddy Paws ❤️

For anyone new to my page, I thought I’d share a little about what we do here!

Muddy Paws is all about giving your dogs a proper home from home experience while you’re away.

The dogs stay in my home with me, just like my own pets. We enjoy lovely woodland walks, plenty of outdoor playtime, cosy beds, cuddles and lots of individual attention! 🥰

I keep numbers limited so every dog gets the time, care and attention they deserve. Their happiness, comfort and safety will always come first.

I know how hard it can be leaving your dogs with someone else, which is why I put so much love into making Muddy Paws somewhere they can feel happy, safe and at home.

🐾 A little holiday reminder! ☀️

Just a reminder that Muddy Paws will be closed from 2nd–11th December as I’m off on holiday! 🌴

It’s been such a busy year, so I’m really looking forward to a little break and some sunshine!

I’ll be back to welcoming all my four legged guests from 12th December! 🐶🤎

If anyone has any enquiries or would like to get dates booked in for next year, please pop me a message before I go.

🐾 Muddy Paws – Pricing Update 2027 🐾

Just a little update to let everyone know that my overnight boarding prices will be changing from 1st January 2027.

🐶 One dog – £50 per night

🐶🐶 Two dogs from the same household – £90 per night

Please don’t worry if you’ve already booked! All existing confirmed bookings will stay at the originally agreed price. ❤️

A big thank you to all my lovely customers for your continued support, recommendations and for trusting me with your gorgeous dogs! It really does mean a lot. 🥰🐾

🥹🐾 Some things are just meant to be… ❤️

I came across this little gem from when I was a child, playing pretend pet care and making my own invoices! 😂🐶

Little did I know that all these years later, I’d actually be running my very own dog care business!

From playing pretend to running a fully licensed, incredibly busy dog boarding business… I think little me would be pretty proud! 🥹❤️

And apparently I knew my worth even back then… £149.99 for three weeks! 😂💰

Funny how childhood dreams sometimes turn into reality. 🐾💕

Sorry I’ve been a little absent on here the last few days!

On Saturday, Maximus gave us a real scare. He suddenly became very uncomfortable, was struggling with the stairs and even started dragging his back legs at one point. Being a dachshund, my immediate worry was IVDD, something I’ve always dreaded with him.

It’s been a worrying few days, and our little man has been having plenty of rest, cuddles and being carried around like the little prince he is! 👑❤️

It’s still been all go here at Muddy Paws, with lots of lovely dogs keeping me busy! We’ve been enjoying our usual walks, playtime and plenty of cuddles, I just haven’t had much chance to sit down and share all the photos and updates with you!

Hopefully I’ll catch up with posting soon, but in the meantime, here’s our little Maximus enjoying some sunshine yesterday 🥹❤️🐾

Part 4
5:30pm - 10pm

And believe it or not... this is a QUIET day at Muddy Paws 😂

Today I've only had one drop off and one collection - yesterday I had 10! So this has definitely been one of my more chilled days.

There's so much more to home dog boarding than the cute walks and cuddles… Behind the scenes there's constant cleaning, monitoring, feeding, garden trips and making sure every guest is happy, comfortable and settled.

Tonight it's dinner for the dogs, another run around the garden, getting everyone settled into their beds and then finally a little bit of downtime for me.

Hot tub, shower, dinner, final wees for the dogs and then bed... ready to do it all again tomorrow!

My next day off isn't until December, but genuinely love the little life I've created here.

A day in the life of a home dog boarder 🏡🐶

The afternoon shift… tidying the living room (again 😂), another woodland walk 🌲, little treats for everyone, washing down the dog garden and of course… cleaning up another 💩 accident 🙃

Then it’s dinner time for my own pets 🐶🐱, grabbing myself something quick to eat before swapping Muddy Paws for my other job 💻📑 — sitting down to catch up on admin for Car Clinic Repairs.

Dog boarder by day… admin girl by night 😂🤎

🐾 Day in the Life of a Dog Boarder – Part Two 🐾

9:00am – 12:30pm ☕️🐶

Starting the next part of the morning by reheating my coffee for what feels like the hundredth time 😂☕️ then straight into the daily clean throughout the house before more drop-offs and collections.

At 9:35am, two very special little regulars arrived 🥹🤎 These two were actually my very first dogs when I started dog walking years ago, and they’re still part of my Muddy Paws days now. 🐾

Then it’s back to cleaning, caring for the dogs, drop-offs, collections and keeping on top of the usual Muddy Paws chaos.

And somehow… it’s only 12:30pm! 😂🐶

5:00am → 8:34am ⏰

Starting the day with a not-so-glamorous 5am carpet clean 💩😂 followed by a much-needed cup of coffee, getting myself ready, morning walkies, breakfast for the gang and everything else that comes with a house full of dogs 🐶🤎

And it’s only 8:34am… 😂🐾
