On this International dog day, I'd like to take a moment to honour and remember little Roxy.
Recently passed away leaving her people devastated, but always in their hearts after a wonderful, happy life lived with them.
RIP little one ❤️

So those of you of a certain age 🤭....may remember this lady.
She is Lady Mary Peters, gold medalist in the Pentathlon from the 1972 Olympics.
In 2019 she was named as Lady Companion of the Order of the Garter, recognising her many charitable works.
She is a good friend of my step mother in law and consequently my husband and I were invited to the ceremony at Windsor Castle two years ago (there's an annual celebration)

As a thankyou for the incredible invite, I painted this portrait of her in her ceremonial robes and as it came up on my memories today I thought I'd share 😊❤️
