Clare Gaunt Art Local artist specialising in animal paintings and portraits I have always loved painting and especially love painting animals.

I am an animal lover myself and knowing how beloved people's pets are to them I try and paint every subject with love myself, especially trying to capture their unique personalities. They are all wonderful and it really is a privilege to paint every commission.

So a few weeks ago I painted this duck in flight for fun and as an exercise....my lovely friend and one of my biggest supporters messaged me that she would really like to have it and commissioned geese to accompany it for her room as she sees a lot of both where she lives.
Such a wonderful request! I really enjoyed them both and I'm so happy they have a really good home ☺️❤️🥰

So this latest painting (the first of these photos) is my 5th of Lola, she's a favourite subject and so enjoyable to paint.
This one is a fairly quick pen and wash....I'm attaching my others of her, including the very first one which I was pleased with at the time, but now think, oh dear! 🫣🙈😆

I bet you can tell which one that is!! 😁

I tend to focus on super detail, so for this I allowed myself about 20 minutes to try and loosen up a bit...I enjoyed it, but I can see myself adding more tomorrow or it'll bug me! 😁
