Please note in this hot weather visits are tailored to see how each cat is coping with the heat 🥵
All waters are changed each visit to provide cold water, visits are kept to their individual needs if they are too hot and I am too hot our body heats won't mix well. I try and keep fusses to a minimum as the kitties will regulate their own temperature by finding their own cool places. Our Marmalade just loves to be near us so we have ceiling fans on the go! We have fans on the rabbits. Pray for me with our electricity bill 🤣🤣🤣

Hi All, we have some more hot weather coming next week. Just so you know my visits in the morning will be kept to a minimum and evening appointments will be carried out later once it cools. Obviously those on restricted meds routine will be kept the same.
The reason I do this is to help cats keep as cool as possible without me in their space and allowing them a more natural way to keep cool. Later evening visits usually allow cuddles once the weather has cooled 🥰
Please let me know if you want windows popping on open locks, or alternatively if outdoor cats allowing windows open during the day and close at night.

Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to let everyone know as I am getting busier my bookings are filling up about 2 to 3 months in advance.

I would love to be able to say yes to everyone as I love meeting new kitties and also seeing my regular kitties however, in order to keep my promise of time for fusses I just can't overstretch myself. Some of you know from time to time my husband James is able to step in however, he works full time himself so this isn't always possible.

To avoid disappointment please if possible book me as far in advance as possible to avoid disappointment especially over the summer holidays as this is my busiest time.

Thank you to each and every one of you for your continued support of my little business I wouldn't be where I am now if I didn't have you and your lovely furry friends 😊 ❤️ 💕

Wow it has been a hot couple of days. So what as a pet sitter have I done differently?
I have adjusted my visit times and how I do things. - Morning visits are feeding, sorting trays making sure plenty of water is out.
- Making sure the temperature in the house is comfortable for the kitties and leaving them to it. Fussing a cat in this heat only increases their body temperature and you want them to remain as cool as possible.
- My evening visits have been carried out later on to ensure it has cooled off then if they are wanting that fuss the option is there for them.
- Most of my outdoor cats have opted to stay out as cats can find their own spaces for shade where they feel most comfortable 😀

This change doesn't mean that your cats are not getting the care they need but just helping them to adapt to such an increase in unprecedented temperatures. Water, food and a clean tray is their needs met obviously I love giving your kitties lots if fusses but sometimes it is kinder not to do so.

I hope on the other hand you humans are all enjoying the sunshine 🌞 it never lasts long as we know 🤣
