Happy Sunday everyone! ☺️

The weather is slowly but surely changing, however come rain or shine I'm always available for walks with a smile on my face.

A friendly reminder to all of my clients, please remember to leave a towel out for your dogs. I do always have a couple with me, however these only go so far and I'd hate to ever leave your dog wet and uncomfortable when I drop them off after our walks 🐾

I have exclusive access to an acre of land on a private farm, which is separated into a few linking paddocks. It’s a lovely place to spend my days with the dogs, filled with natural obstacles, different platforms, and toys for their enjoyment and enrichment. There is also plenty of local wildlife around the farm, along with a few farm cats. This is ideal, as it provides natural distractions that allow me to really put the dogs training to the test.

All of my group walks take place in the paddocks, within a controlled environment. This is great from a safety perspective, as it means we don’t encounter any unknown people or dogs that are outside of my control. That way, my focus is solely on the dogs in my care, allowing me to provide as much training and enrichment as possible, while also ensuring that the dogs are communicating well with one another in a safe space.

My walks at the paddocks aren't just a matter of turning up and letting your dog off lead to run around like a nutter for the entire time. Sure, they get to have a good run and play a bit of fetch now and then, but what I mostly focus on is stimulating the dogs in a variety of ways. Whether it's training the basic fundamentals, recall work, scent games, or even a bit of agility — there’s always plenty for us to do. I primarily try to align with what my clients are currently working on with their dogs, so that we’re all on the same page and to help them and their dogs make the best possible progress.

It's been cats galore the past couple of weeks 🐈‍⬛

Whether it's just a quick feed, cleaning of a litter tray, administering medication or a full 30 minute play with lots of love and fuss. I'm here to help with all of your felines needs. I have some availability for pet visits, which are a great way to help break up your cats (and any other pets) day, to give them the care and attention they need. Whether that be if you have a long work day, or are away on holiday and would prefer for your cats to stay in the safety of their own home where they are most comfortable I am here to help.

Recently I keep being asked if I'm a dog trainer, as well as a dog walker and pet sitter. The official answer to that question is no, as I am by no means a 'qualified' trainer. What I do have is 4 years experience of working with all sorts of breeds and temperaments of dogs, and also a good knowledge base from growing up around mostly large breed dogs my entire life.

I love to do training with dogs, and always try to include at the very least the fundamental basics in all of my walks. Not only does this help my clients with their training, but also it helps build a strong bond between me and the dogs. Most dogs absolutely love to do training (especially the smarter ones), and thrive off of any training and mental stimulation provided.

I believe this is especially important with the dogs on my pack walks, so that if there are times the dogs are not communicating well with one another I know I can step in and they will at the very least listen to me. Scent work is a big go to for me, as I find this helps bring the energy levels down nicely if needed and luckily for me most of the dogs on my pack walks are very food motivated, so are easily distracted when I bring out my high quality treats.

I am very particular about the dogs who join my group walks, as my priority will always be the happiness and safety of your dogs. I do currently have some availability so if you think your dog would be a good fit, please don't hesitate to get in contact! We can arrange a free consultation to get to know one another better. My pack walks from over the last fortnight 😊 Pack walks are a great way to socialise your dog, they all take place within a private and controlled environment. With plenty of stimulation, enrichment and training provided throughout the walks. It is an absolute pleasure watching all the dogs grow and form bonds with one another 🐾💜
