So this week I have had two new requests for pet sitting! We are meeting a friends’ Dog to make sure ours will get in well, and we have a rabbit hutch arriving at the weekend for rabbit sitting!
Don’t forget if you would like a quote we occasionally care for dogs in our home for people we know. We can do home visits for pets living near us x

Been a long time since we posted here!
Life has changed so much since this page started and we no longer breed our animals. However we do still keep many as pets.
We are still dog sitting dogs in our home.
If you do need doggy care, get in touch. Can’t promise we can have your pooch as they have to work around our children, but we have cared for many a pooch here. X

Hog watch! Well, last night we found a small hedgehog on the field outside our house. When it made no attempt to get away from us when we got close, we knew it might need help. Brought it home and weighed it, weighing in at only 200g. Organisations I have checked with quote 350g up to 500g as a minimum by October. So we did the right thing by bringing it in. We have popped hoglet into a small carrier with a little substrate and a towel to hide under. Water is there all the time and last night it ate a full pouch of cat food. Stinks to high heaven and is pooing so clearly eating. I rang a few shelters and left messages but got no responses so looks like we shall be rescuing this one. Debugged it this morning so hoping it does not leave bugs in my house! If it eats a full pouch tonight I shall add more tomorrow. Weighed it tonight but no weight gain or loss. What I have researched tells me to weigh daily so I shall keep you informed.

Well we are down to male guinea pigs only other than the hand reared one who resides in my daughter's room So we will not be breeding any more of thee little critters. Life has been so busy the last few years that we are concentrating more on the children side of life. We still have the aviary in the garden which has safely introduced a lone rosella to so we didn't have to rehome him. We have our two gorgeous labs, old Billy who is about 13, and baby Casper who is one. This last month has seen us caring for a cat in her own home, two dogs of a friend in our home (We only care for known dogs on site), home visit for two more cats, and another home contract for two cats and a harris hawk. August was busy!!!!!

Sold the last two boy guinea pigs this evening. So lovely that this time round I have three clients who have sent photos of their new charges and it is lovely to see them in their new homes. The girls are now resting until summer before we will put the boys back in with them so no more new guinea pigs for a while. Gives us time to get the garden back in order and sort out the prolific zebra finch breeders!

Wow, I haven't posted in here for such a long time that Facebook has closed my business for me! Life goes on here with animals, but children have taken over more than animals! We still breed the guinea pigs but have slowed on everything for a while until the house extensions are complete. This month has seen us selling more beautiful baby guinea pigs and so happy that people are actually staying in touch and telling us how they are getting on.
Since last posting we also have a fab Black lap puppy - Casper. A complete nutter, now 9 months old and so good. No mega chewing happened despite all the building work. Great with our old boy, though hormones have just kicked in so watch this space. He is to be kennel club registered though as his stock has interested a few breeders so will keep him in tact.
We are still offering pet sitting services in your own homes unless small animals, which we can take in and are taking bookings for summer 2017 now. Cat feeding service is easy, dog walking is limited as the child minding really is the mainstay of this busy home now.
Looking forward to a break in the weather so we can repair the garden and see our animals out there again. Give us some posts about your animals and how things are going at the minute. x

All quiet on the western front! Have managed to get up and start a coffee without waking any of the living things up in the house! Including three human things! Dog sitting two great little dogs this week who have taken to sleeping in the teen's room! Take in another dog next weekend which will give us a house full. WHat are your top tips for keeping your pets cool when we have had hot weather?
