Sometimes the best thing you can do is take a little time for yourself 🫶🏼

After becoming a mum, life has been busier than ever, so it felt wonderful to get back out hacking on the farm ride at Crabtree Grange Farm livery, with beautiful Bobby 🥰 and enjoy some time in the saddle.

Surrounded by gorgeous countryside, fresh air, and a trusted horse beneath me, it was the perfect reminder of why horses are so good for the soul. 🐴

As horse owners, we’re often busy caring for everyone else: our horses, our families, but it’s just as important to look after ourselves too.

A couple of hours spent doing something you love can make all the difference.

🚘 I’m really excited to be back coaching again after maternity leave and opening a limited number of freelance lesson slots at clients’ yards 🐎

Lessons at your own yard can be a much more convenient way to fit training around busy schedules — saving travel time, no need for transport, fitting lessons into work breaks, and often helping both horse and rider feel more confident and relaxed in their usual environment and arena. They can also work really well alongside clinic sessions to continue progress at home 😊

What’s it all about ? 🤔 ⬇️ 📖

🎉 Train on a surface offering a consistent and controlled environment for fast work. In a securly railed canter track and gallops.

✅ Speed & Fitness training is a great opportunity for riders to build their confidence and knowledge using a variety of different fitness programs. Gaining greater understanding how to build cardiovascular and muscular fitness in horse and rider.

😊 Educating riders on correct fitness training is something which Beatrice is extremely keen about, ensuring the care and welfare of our horses is absolute paramount!

🏇🏻We will discuss and practice the stages of the riders position and gears depending what speed and preparation is needed, including how to ride with bridged reins.

⏰ Learn to FEEL what different speeds feel like for example 450m/minute (BE90), how to use your stop watch in training, in competition in the start box and course.

🤩For established riders there will also be the opportunity to jump a few fences in a set time/distance. (Subject to weather)

👌Also helpful for those young/green horses that need to be taught to open up and gallop.

😳 Or do have control problems with an over enthusiastic horse! Learn how to effectively hold a strong horse in a soft way with correct horsemanship.

📝 Once we have completed work on the gallops advice and handy tips for the care of horses post fitness training will be given. You will also receive a document to download to complement the training sessions themselves.

⌚ Stop watches (for those who don’t have 1) and Radios 🎧 will be supplied. Each rider will have the great benefit of having a radio system so we can communicate on the gallops.

✅ Understand pacing & stopwatch use
✅ Build control and adjustability in open spaces

‼️Class 1 will be featuring 60cm Cross Country jumps, a perfect way to start anyone's Eventing career. Suitable for young, novice or nervous Horses & Riders. There will be NO drops or ditches and only a run through the water.
📣Callers are allowed for all dressage tests.
Class 1: BE Test 91, SJ & XC 0. 60m-0.65m
Class 2: BE Test 92, SJ & XC 0.70m - 0.75m
Class 3: BE Test 96, SJ & XC 0.80m - 0.85m
