We’ve welcomed another 8 gorgeous new kittens this week – but we are all out of name ideas!

While we love all the classics (we’ve had many Lunas, Bellas, Bonnies & Rosies) we’d like hear something a little different🎨

For just £2 per name suggestion, you can help us pick unique, playful names for our little ones.

Feel free to get imaginative – think themes like nature, food, tv shows, mythology, colours, or even travel destinations.

**🐾 Volunteer with Us – Cat Sanctuary Helpers Needed! 🐾**

Are you retired, love cats, and looking for a meaningful way to spend your time?
Our cat sanctuary is looking for kind-hearted, reliable volunteers to help us care for our feline residents.

What you’ll be doing:

* Feeding and providing fresh water
* Cleaning litter trays and cosy sleeping spaces
* Light lifting (cat food, litter, and bedding)
* Keeping the sanctuary clean, safe, and welcoming
* Grooming and socialising with our cats (their favourite part!) at the end of the shift

Who we’re looking for:

* Retirement-age volunteers who want to stay active and engaged
* People with a reasonable level of physical fitness (you’ll need to bend, carry supplies, and be on your feet for parts of the shift)
* Friendly team players who enjoy being part of a caring community
* * Cat lovers with patience and plenty of cuddles to give

🐾 Got a Vermin Problem in Your Rural Home or Barn? 🐭

If you live in the countryside and find yourself battling unwanted visitors like rats or mice, we might have the purr-fect solution and it comes with whiskers.

We’re looking for safe, loving placements for a few independent-minded cats who thrive in outdoor or semi-outdoor environments. These feline friends aren’t fussed about cuddles or cat trees, they’re happiest patrolling barns, sheds, stables, or quiet homes where they can come and go as they please. They’re not fully feral, so if they choose, they may enjoy popping indoors for a warm spot or a little company now and then.

🏡 Ideal homes include:
- Farms, smallholdings, or rural properties
- Barns, outbuildings, or sheds with shelter
- Homes with access to the outdoors and a cosy place to rest

In return, you’ll gain a natural pest controller, a quiet companion, and the satisfaction of giving a deserving cat a second chance.

We’ll provide support with settling in, and each cat will be neutered, health-checked, and ready to start their new life.

We have Dennis & Ethan, both fully vaccinated, chipped, neutered and health checked looking for a bachelor pad together.

Dylan, Tux and Wiggles, are also a bonded trio we would like to keep together. Dylan has taken the Ladies under his wing. They're not fully feral so may like a spot in front of the fire in the winter. All neutered, vac and chipped.

These two handsome boys have the most gentle of natures.

They are 5 months old, neutered, chipped amd have received their 1st vaccination.

They are bonded so will need to be rehomed together.

Buffalo & Bear 🎀

📍In Foster (Port Talbot)

✅Neutered, chipped & fully vaccinated

🗓️ 5 Months old

These two sisters, along with their brother who has already been adopted, were trapped by one of our volunteers back in June. They went straight to live with one of our fabulous fosterers, who has worked her magic and showed them that humans arent all that scary.

Here is what she has to say about them:

"Buffalo and bear are 2 stunning sisters who have come a long way from the frightened hissy babies they were.

Buffalo (Tori) loves playing with her fishing wand,laser light and watching cat TV, cuddles and scratches are on her terms but will come if treats are on offer. She does like a smooth from time to time, but she is constantly playing with the toy wand, pouncing and leaping at it.

Bear is quieter and enjoys head rubs but like her sister on her terms. She likes chasing fingers and toes under a blanket and jumping on them. She's still adjusting and becoming a friendlier cat day by day. She loves a good fuss behind her ear, immediately purring at your touch

They both love exploring and climbing before cuddling up together to watch the world go by.

These girls have so much love to give and just need a special family to draw them out of their shells more and allow them to develop and thrive."

🌊🐾 Good Luck, Brave Swimmer! 🐾🌊

Today, one of our amazing cat sanctuary volunteers is trading furballs for foam as she takes on a 3km open water swim in Saundersfoot Bay, all to raise funds for our beloved cats and kittens! 💪🐱

With every stroke through the chilly waters, she’s helping us provide warmth, care, and second chances to the animals who need it most. We’re beyond proud and grateful for her courage, compassion, and commitment.

💙 Let’s send waves of support her way and cheer her on as she dives into this incredible challenge!

£5 Friday – For Lottie's vet bill🏥

This Friday, we are asking our amazing supporters to give £5 towards the cost of Lottie's recent emergency vet treatment.

You may remember a couple of weeks ago, we announced that our largest litter of the year, being 8 kittens, had been born to Lottie.

Unfortunately, after the first week of their lives, Lottie developed severe mastitus and had to spend 5 long nights at the vets - during which, one of her mammary glands ruptured.

She’s now home with us, on antibiotics and pain relief, and we’re flushing her wound twice a day. She’s sore, and feeling sorry for herself, but she's been a very a brave girl and we are so proud of her.

Because Lottie was no longer able to feed her babies, all 8 kittens suddenly became bottle babies overnight. Imagine 8 hungry mouths needing a feed every 2 hours – we are so lucky to have had one of our incredible fosterers step in to help, who is currently caring for all 8 kittens.

All of this has come with unexpected vet bill of £503.25!

Lottie's story is a heartbreaking reminder of why neutering matters. She has endured pain she never should have had to.
