It really does feel like it’s been one thing after another this year.

Today we had to say goodbye to Felix.

He very quickly began to suffer with kidney failure.

We’re finding ourselves thinking about all the ones we’ve lost this year. It’s felt dark at times. Too many goodbyes, too close together, and we’re only in June.

Felix didn’t come from an easy start, but he knew safety with us. He was loved, he was cared for, and he was comfortable and safe right until the end, with one of our volunteers holding his paw whilst he closed his eyes one last time. That’s what we’re holding onto today.

We’re devastated, but we’re still here, and we’ve just began slowly reopening our intake again… hoping we can start turning things back towards helping more cats who need us.

Run free, Felix.. be with Jasper again 🪽🌈

Tora 🤎

Beautiful Tora came into our care as a stray alongside her three spicy little babies a few weeks ago.

Now that her kittens are growing up and becoming more independent, Tora is thoroughly enjoying life with the run of her own big room

Tora is a very sweet girl who loves attention, although she can be a little unsure when meeting new people. With a little patience, her lovely personality shines through.

She is estimated to be around 1 year old, she is neutered, microchipped and has received first vaccination.

Tora is now ready to find a loving forever home where she can enjoy being the centre of attention after fending for herself and her babies for so long outside🥹

Adoption application details can be found in the comments🩵

Eric🖤

Some of you may remember Eric from his transformation journey earlier this year.
When Eric arrived with us as a stray in February, he was frightened, hissy, and understandably unsure of the world around him. He also had a painful eye condition that required daily treatment, as well as dental work and castration surgery. It was a lot for one cat to cope with.

But over the months, Eric has shown us just how resilient he is.

With patience, kindness, and plenty of TLC, the grumpy stray has transformed into a loving, affectionate boy who absolutely adores human company. These days, Eric is happiest curled up on a lap, soaking up all the fuss and attention he can get.

Following specialist advice, Eric underwent entropion surgery on both eyes to correct a condition that was causing him significant discomfort. He has recovered brilliantly and is currently comfortable and enjoying life.

As if that wasn't enough, one of our observant volunteers recently noticed a lump on Eric's side. Thankfully, after it was removed and tested, it was confirmed to be nothing more than a harmless fatty lump – much to everyone's relief.

Eric has also previously experienced an issue that required his kidneys to be flushed. He has made a good recovery, and we do not anticipate any further problems. However, because of this history, any future kidney-related conditions may not be covered by pet insurance. To give potential adopters peace of mind, should Eric develop kidney-related issues in the future, we would cover the veterinary costs through our own vets.

Despite the challenges he has faced, Eric has become one of the sweetest cats you could hope to meet.

Eric is estimated to be around 6 years old, is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered, and is now ready to find the forever home he so deserves.

After everything he's been through, we think Eric deserves the very best happily ever after.

Could you be the one to give this big softie the forever home he's been waiting for? If you arent the one for him, please share to help him find his perfect match🩵

Tomorrow, our amazing adopters Lauren and Grace will be taking on the Swansea Half Marathon to raise funds for our little sanctuary.

After adopting Clementine (formerly Princess) last year and giving her the loving home she deserved, they’re now helping other cats get the same chance at a happy future 🐾

We’re so grateful for their support and wish them the very best of luck for race day!

Happy Hug Your Cat Day🩵🐱

Today we're celebrating the special bond between cats and the people who love them.

If you're lucky enough to share your home with a feline friend, give them an extra cuddle, a slow blink, or a few treats tonight (on their terms, of course).

But not every cat has someone to hug just yet...

Meet some of our wonderful cats currently looking for forever homes:

🐾Dewi & Idris - Bonded 3 month old brothers

🐾 Toto & Apollo - Bonded 10 month old brothers

🐾 Felix - Gorgeous 6.5 year old friendly boy

🐾 Pws Pws - 13 year old lady looking for long term foster

🐾 Milky - Timid 6.5 year old boy, needing a quiet home

🐾 Kitty - Confident 13 year old girl who has been waiting far too long

Each one has their own unique personality and their own story.

We would love to see these cats find their forever homes soon.

📩 Message us to find out more about any of our available cats.

🏡 Please share this post to help them find the loving homes they deserve.

Because every cat deserves someone to love them, spoil them, and yes... give them a hug🩵

Cats deserve the same protection as dogs.

Right now, drivers in the UK are not legally required to stop or report if they hit a cat. This petition calls for a change in the law so injured cats aren't left to suffer alone.

If you believe cats matter and deserve better, please sign and share:

It is legal in the UK to hit a cat when driving and not need to stop or report collisions, leaving them scared, alone, and in pain. Cats are important, loved, valued family members for many and we believe the law should reflect this.
