🦊✨ Ronnie the beautiful Shiba Inu came in for her groom today – and she had a de-shed upgrade too! ✨🦊

Shiba Inus have a thick double coat, which means when shedding season arrives, they can drop huge amounts of undercoat in a very short time. A regular groom will keep them tidy, but a de-shed upgrade goes further by helping to loosen and remove dead undercoat before it falls out at home.

This leaves the coat softer, shinier, and much easier to manage – while reducing the amount of loose hair around the house. 🐾

Ronnie went home looking sleek, feeling fresh, and ready to tackle the shedding season ahead – with far less fur for her owners to sweep up! ✨

🐾✨ Margot the gorgeous Collie came in for her groom today – and she had a de-shed upgrade too! ✨🐾

With shedding season just around the corner, double-coated breeds like Collies, Retrievers, and Shepherds start to “blow” their coats. This is when the thick undercoat begins to loosen and drop, which can quickly take over your home if left unmanaged.

A regular groom includes a wash, dry, brush, and tidy to keep your dog looking neat and comfortable. But our de-shed upgrade goes deeper – helping remove excess undercoat before it falls out at home.

✨ Puppy’s First Pamper ✨

Say hello to Willow, the sweetest little Toy Poodle puppy 💕 She came in for her very first scissor-cut in style at The Cornish Dog Barber.

For puppies, these early grooms are all about keeping things gentle and positive. Willow’s session was taken nice and steady so she could get used to the sounds, sensations, and of course – the cuddles 🐾

Her groom focused on setting the body and leg shape, giving her the perfect foundation for future grooms as she grows ✂️🐩

Well done, Willow – you were a star on the table today! 🌟🐶

Our handsome boy Chocco was back in the salon today for his regular 6-weekly groom, and just look at that beautiful long coat! 🐾

🛁🐾 Bella’s First Puppy Pamper! 🐾🛁

Say hello to beautiful Bella, a Cockapoo puppy who came in for her very first puppy bath and blow dry at The Cornish Dog Barber! 💕🐶

At just a few months old, it’s so important to introduce pups like Bella to the grooming process in a calm, gentle, and positive way. She took it all in her stride – from the warm hydro bath to the fluff-drying, she was an absolute superstar! ✨

Early grooming sessions help pups grow into confident dogs who actually enjoy their visits to the salon. We focused on making Bella feel safe and relaxed, with plenty of cuddles and positive reinforcement along the way. 💖

We can’t wait to see Bella again as she grows and graduates to her full grooms – what a little heart-melter! 🐾

🐾 Rudi’s Spa Day! 🐾

Beautiful Rudi the Springer Spaniel popped in today for a good bath and tidy up – and she left looking so smart! ✨

We started with a deep cleanse in our luxury hydro bath to get her coat squeaky clean and smelling fresh. Then it was time for a tidy trim to neaten up her feathering and keep her comfortable and stylish.

Rudi also had a hand strip to remove the dead coat and help keep her fur in top condition. This not only maintains her beautiful, natural coat texture, but also allows her skin to breathe – perfect for a happy, healthy Springer.

Now she’s ready to bounce through the fields looking and feeling her best! 🐶💚

🐾 Tilly the Labrador – De-shed Queen! 🛁✨

Lovely Tilly came in for her regular groom with us at The Cornish Dog Barber – and this time, she got the de-shed upgrade treatment too! 💨

Labradors are known for their double coats and shed a lot – especially this time of year. So, to help Tilly feel fresher and leave less fluff around the house, we gave her a luxury deshedding session.

We used our Peanut & Pickle Mud Treatment to loosen dead coat and reduce future shedding. Followed by a warm hydro bath, high-velocity blow dry, and a full brush-out to leave her feeling lighter, softer, and smelling absolutely gorgeous! 🌿🐶

Well done, Tilly – you were a superstar as always 💛
